Ok I'm an admitted NPR junky and there is this fascinating program called "Hidden Brain" A science y podcast about how we think and act..
The one today was about how we view politics... To most it's just a hobby... To some it's about aquiring power to effect change... Where do your passions lie... Is politics just another form of sports viewing??? Give a listen and it might open your eyes like it did mine.

. Political scientist Eitan Hersh says there's been a rise in "political hobbyism" in the United States. We treat politics like entertainment, following the latest updates like we follow our favorite sports teams. Instead, he says, we should think of politics as a way to acquire power and persuade our neighbors to back the issues we support.
