With Bernie as the nominee, lots of down ballot candidates will have to run against him

People need to realize and acknowledge this fact. A lot of down-ballot candidates in multiple states will have to run against Bernie, in addition, to their republicans opponent. This will be unavoidable. The unity among democrats will be an illusion at best. We might not be able to be on the same page about a lot of things, but we need to be on the same page about this.

6. Sanders will be a burden here in NC

Yes, I've read his policies. Don't condescend. Even voted for Bernie in 2016. I believe and fear that Bernie will hurt down ballot races in NC. Possibly keep us from unseating Tillis from Senate. That sort of thing.

I hope I am wrong, but good surprises are really, really rare for NC progressives.

Do not give a toss about climate change

Have been brain washed into thinking that health-care and a livable way are NOT basic human rights but a REWARD for working "hard"

What they aren't running on are the same sorts of policies that got Sanders-backed candidates shellacked in 2018.

Hopefully we can keep the House and maybe take back the Senate. Only then can we make an impact on policy.

In a lot of cases it will not be possible to "stick" with the top of the ticket if you want a chance to win. That is just the way the cookie crumbles
