The poll-warping narrative that Biden can't win was just nuked.

Thank you, South Carolina!

We finally got past Iowa, with its unrepresentative population and unrepresentative caucus.

We got past New Hampshire, with its unrepresentative population and its history of Bernie-love.

We got past Nevada, with its unrepresentative caucus.

Tonight we FINALLY saw a state that looked more like the Democraticc electorate, and that used a truly democratic method to decide who'd win its primary.

And Biden crushed his rivals.

Much of Sanders' rise in the polls, as well as Bloomberg's, had to do with the narrative that Biden can't win.

That's dead now, destroyed by South Carolina.

The primary race has been reset.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

That said, when Bernie supporters were celebrating his wins, I never laughed like it was some kind of joke. Why bother? If you don't have anything constructive to say, that's fine, but probably best to say nothing at all. It would be the civil thing to do. Many of us do our best to maintain civility here at DU.

are very small states that are primarily white, so in a sense, they really are unimportant. Robert Gibbs said that South Carolina was the rocket that launched Obama's campaign. Granted, he had won Iowa, but he lost New Hampshire and Nevada to Hillary. From a lot of people's perspective, this very big South Carolina win is a pretty big deal.

Things will be getting really interesting, but whatever happens, I promise I will not be snarky to you or any other Bernie supporters if and when he wins.

end-all is clearly laughable. So I laughed at it.

The reason that people are dismissing the first three states obviously has nothing to do with anything except the fact that Biden did poorly in them.

Yes, this is a big win for Joe. Iowa was big for Pete. NH and NV were big for Bernie. Here comes super Tuesday...

When someone (the op) is happy because their candidate won big in a primary, just saying Lol comes across as very snarky. Explaining why you think it isn't a big deal might have been more appropriate, though still entirely unnecessary.
