(15,682 posts)Our democrats do that to me. There is so much heartfelt compassion in our party. Let's keep it that way. I don't want to be the party of angry.

(115,683 posts)and she has come a very long way. I used to think she wasn't tough enough but I have done a 180. I am so impressed with the way she's handled her campaign, and the way she ended it was just brilliant.

(3,396 posts)Gives Biden midwestern support, gets a woman on the ticket, and Trump cant call either of them leftist or socialist. Shes a fighter and a good speaker. That would probably be the toughest ticket for Trump to campaign against.

(6,551 posts)She is a great representative and advocate for our state and for people. I was crying too, but she gave our nation a gift tonight. The energy at Joe's rally in Texas tonight gives me hope that we will get our country back! The fight is just beginning in earnest!

(27,814 posts)... with regard to Amy was how she handled Kavanaugh. He was unspeakably rude to her throughout her questioning, and she never lost her temper, lost her cool, lost her focus, or engaged in the incivility he was wallowing in.
I remember thinking at the time that I could never, ever retain my poise in those circumstances - and to this day, I admire her ability to do so.
Her conduct wasn't just a display of being able to retain one's civility in the face of unbridled incivility - it was a demonstration of her ability to be the "adult in the room" despite having to deal with a whining, tantrum-throwing child.
I've been a Biden supporter from the beginning - but I never doubted that if Amy won the nomination, she would have gone on to be a a great president.
