Democratic Primaries

I was not able to watch the rally tonight. So I just took the time to watch video of both Mayor Pete's endorsement and Senator Klobuchar's endorsement. I must say my heart swelled and my eyes welled up. This is America!!!
Mayor Pete's heartfelt appeal for bringing back dignity and decency to our country. Joe's embrace of Pete as having the qualities of Joe's son. Wow!!
Amy's story of the guy who was asked the question after FDR's funeral train passed by: That is why we are Democrats!!
My hat is off to all Democrats tonight!! Let's win this thing and win BIG!!
I'm posting both of the endorsements for those like me, who might have missed them. They are indeed worth the watch.

(37,364 posts)I didn't get to see the rally coverage last night. Pete and Amy were so gracious. I look forward to seeing more of both of them. They are leaders with heart, like Joe.

(586 posts)for once, we saw leaders doing the best thing for the country instead of what was in their own interests! This is what patriots do.
I loved Amy's story about FDR. A lot of people loved him. In Ken Burns' film about the dust bowl, there was a similar story about how people felt about him. I live in Oklahoma & my family has always lived here too so the story was a little more personal to me. A woman told a story about her father who had been a republican his whole life. After he began to see the programs FDR created & the ways he tried to control the terrible conditions of the dust bowl, he voted for FDR & never voted republican for the rest of his life! People can tell when you are sincerely interested in improving their lives & for the man (in Amy's story) to say that FDR knew him shows the same kind of affection for him.
