(2,706 posts)He took votes from Joe. Joe is just taking them back.
If Bloomberg had never gotten in, those votes would have split between the other candidates. They were never really his to begin with.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
Does Bloomberg somehow think he is entitled to those votes? Well, he did spend a lot of money, so maybe he thinks they are bought and paid for.

(43,335 posts)Most people, when asked what they thought the most expensive metal in the world was, would be inclined to say gold, silver, or even platinum. Although we consider these metals precious, and indeed they are close to the top of the list, they are by no means the most expensive and can all be trumped by one metal Californium.
https://www.william-rowland.com/news/item/the-most-expenl-in-the-world
Californium is a rare earth metal and does not occur naturally on the planet. It is a radioactive metallic chemical element with the symbol Cf and atomic number 98. Not only is a gram of Californium worth US$27 million, it is second only to antimatter when it comes to the most expensive materials in the world.
The element was first made in the 1950s at the University of California Radiation Laboratory in Berkeley, hence the name Californium which it takes from its origins. It is a silver/white actinide metal with a melting point of 900 ± 30 °C.
It is also exceedingly radioactive and just one microgram of Californium releases up to 170 million neutron particles every minute.
Uses of Californium include the detection of gold and platinum. At US$56 per gram for gold and US$60 per gram for platinum these 2 metals are still high on the list of the worlds most expensive elements, but far from the cost of Californium. It can also be used in a device called a neutron moisture gauge to detect oil/water bearing layers within wells.

(10,429 posts)Everything is already "his", everyone else is just taking things away from him. That entitled attitude isn't just limited to elections, either.
Republicon party insiders and their version of "the establishment" were quite certain MF45 would never get past Jebbie. I hope the Democratic party leaders don't make the same kind of mistake with Bloomberg.

(36,297 posts)If Biden had faltered in SC, I think many Biden supporters would have gone to Bloomberg.
Since Biden kicked ass in SC and his campaign is on the upswing, Biden supporters are staying and even some Bloomberg supporters are switching.
The priority for most of us is to support a candidate that beats Trump.

(4,494 posts)and has the resources to attack Trump, promote Democratic principles, and take the steam out of Bernie's campaign. He will stay in to neutralize Sanders, and ultimately support Biden.
I'm speculating, of course, but I think he's a savvy politician, and is playing an effective blocking game.

(1,656 posts)Rather than allowing Biden to get to majority of delegates.
Let us remember Bloomberg is a billionaire and long time republican.
He benefits from Trump administration from tax standpoint.
Pretty evil calculus when you think about it.
