A very conservative (small "c") friend of mine just voted for Warren in Texas

Not a movement conservative, in any sense, but a Southern Baptist minister who went to seminary at TCU and considers values and faith as the most important criteria for his voting. He's a NeverTrumper (as I think any religious person must be if they say their faith informs their vote), and said that Warren's character and values mattered most to him.

Yes, I know, anecdote, and she's not in a place to win Texas, but this just made me happy.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

And Warren is a fine candidate.

The minister is probably a Democratic vote in November. I hope Texas turns blue!

We should all be happy when stuff like this happens. I've never understood why people are so quick to assert that we should actively discourage Republicans for voting for our candidates because we don't need them, we'll never agree with them on anything, etc.

Anyone we can bring into the fold we can potentially influence, even if only in some small way. In the end, that's a positive.

It's always wonderful to hear that people are actually paying attention to their values, and realizing that drumpf doesn't represent any decent value on this planet.

Thank you for sharing. It's so encouraging to read things like this.

I was tossing around the idea of crossing over to vote for Roy Moore in the goper Senate primary.... but screw that, I voted for the candidate I think can do the best job and shares my values.

I can't wait to see how many people in my county voted in the Democratic primary.... I'll bet there's not many of us.
