(509 posts)Without the early vote, he wouldn't have won CA either.
Biden will be the national delegate leader after tonight.

(18,402 posts)It will be that Californians have been mailing in ballots for a month, and they cant change them. Bet theres a lot of sorry folk in California right now. And 67% of California (stupidly, IMO) vote by mail.
We wont have final votes from CA for a week. Mail ballot deadline is not till Friday.

(16,672 posts)I know a lot of folks who voted early and wanted to switch to Biden from warren. That's how it goes. Who knew things were going to turn upside down.

(65,185 posts)The media overreacted to the first few states. The media is so disappointing. I expected that Biden would be a challenge. Bernie did well enough tonight to keep going for sure.

(5,257 posts)California banked a ton of its vote early, when Biden didn't look like he would do all that well (at least if you forgot that IA and NH are unrepresentative and IA and NV are caucuses). Different story now, and if CA didn't have VBM its results would likely reflect that.

(10,588 posts)San Diego hasnt released any numbers outside or early voters - same for several other large areas.

(8,419 posts)The primary was in June. It was basically clear that HRC would be the nominee. Let the numbers come in and we can see how much the CA numbers reflect a strong support for Bernie.
We are a very liberal state but the early voting numbers helped Bernie, same day results will be the key.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
