"Warren finished in an embarrassing third place in her home state,"

totally undeserved and wrong wrong wrong. I hate that such a wonderful person and candidate ended this way.

She sent out a fundraising email. If the money rolls in, she may stay. Hillary 2008 begot Sanders 2016 which may beget Warren 2020 as the perpetual thorn in his side movement candidate. It doesn't help that her staff and the candidate herself have no doubt faced harassment. There's a chance that she sees this through the month.

If she stays in, she’ll split the more progressive votes and Biden will probably get the nomination. If she drops out, Bernie will probably get the nomination. As a Sanders supporter, I would prefer that she drop out. But it’s her choice and I would not fault her either way.

Biden was hurt by Bloomberg as bad or worse in many states. I don't see any real path for Bernie absent a shift in preferences. He's not getting much out of Florida, Georgia, LA, Mississippi. Joe will run strong in the rust belt, NY, NJ, Kentucky. Bernie's path was a knockout punch last night, and he took one instead of delivering one IMO.

I chalk this up to a near desperation on the part of the electorate. No place for sentiment .. or niceties. Winning is job one.

honesty about her healthcare plan. Someone asked her how to pay for it and she got into the weeds to try to explain it, and it didn't go well. Bernie hasn't been shackled by any of that, he just says it's paid for and rolls right back into the stump speech. Warren would have made a very good and consequential president indeed, and I'm sad it's gone this way for her thus far.

As long as Bloomberg is still running, she serves a purpose for the Democratic party because she showed how easy it was to expose his weaknesses. So the voters who saw Biden and Bloomberg as an option, would have dropped Bloomberg from their choices.

And, of course, she will draw progressive votes away from Bernie. So I expect she will make it to the convention if all it takes is donations.

When Biden won a crushing victory in SC, a state Bloomberg did not compete in, Joe got a slew of endorsements and wavering supporters went back to him in a big way. Heck! Look at MA where Biden came out of nowhere and easily bested both Sanders and Warren.

Now, had Biden faltered in SC, I believe many Biden supporters or those leaning Biden would have gone to Bloomberg as Plan B.
