A few of my friends are ardent Bernie supporters. They have trouble understanding that many of us don't hate Bernie. We aren't "Bernie haters" specifically. We just like other candidates better. They have a very self-absorbed view when it comes to politics.

I couldn't articulate how I saw my vote yesterday here in Maine. I voted for Biden unenthusiastically, more pragmatically, believing at the final moment before filling in the bubble that Biden might better beat Trump with his totally opposite demeanor and more moderate position compared to Bernie. I support Bernie's positions on most issues and was an avid Bernie supporter in 2016. Hopefully, Biden can draw moderate republican and independents and not have too many gaffes on the way to the general and while running against Trump. I wanted a younger candidate and was excited by Harris and Buttigieg. Ending up selecting from among three old white men and Warren (I admire her greatly but didn't think she was viable going forward) wasn't very appealing. Biden must choose an incredible VP candidate to run with him. Thankfully, we have a deep bench from which to choose. Onward!

FDR did not take baby steps. He was the most successful liberal in history.

We need change to vast deadly and destructive right wing crazy Nazism. Not little tiny imperceptible changes to a system that is mowing us under.

No change is the status quo and it means we are fine with a liberal acting like f*cking crazy Trump.

However, we first need to retake the WH, hopefully the Senate and keep the House. When I cast my vote, I didn't believe that could happen with Bernie or Elizabeth. We will need to push for a progressive/liberal VP candidate on a Biden ticket, if he becomes our Presidential candidate.

God, I hope you're right......I am afraid the Biden gaffes of old in addition to the Senate Republicans plan for non-stop investigations into Hunter and Burisma are going to be a huge factor in the general.
Combine that with the fact that Joe has clearly lost a few steps and is having some blatantly obvious memory issues, make me fear the GOP smear machine will have a field day with the Biden campaign, which means 4 more years of tRump and the end of American Democracy.
I have never hoped to be wrong more in my life, but I am afraid this is going to be a disaster.

Trump definitely does not.

There are reasons why Warren is still in the fight without a snowballs chance in hell of winning the nomination. She wants to advance progressive policy in this country and build support for reforms. All of our candidates are fighting to make things better for us.
