That's a Democratic stronghold. GE polling done in California usually shows all Democratic candidates beating Trump by a wide margin.
Other states are much better tests of how a candidate will do in the GE.

(24,123 posts)it's the exact same situation as when Joe's primary rivals dropped out. Bernie will get a HUGE boost when Elizabeth drops out... but of course Bernie is not gonna pressure Elizabeth to do so... it's completely up to her. There's still plenty of timeto let democracy work!!

(11,995 posts)Though ironically, there was recently another post about how SC results weren't very relevant to the GE because it was a solid red state, and there were people who found that insulting.
But yeah, I think no result in a solid red or solid blue state matters for the general (which certainly doesn't mean they don't matter now!); and even have limited relevance in the purple states.
