The media surely wasn't what pushed Biden forward. The best story for them is always the front runner losing or messing up.
Sanders strength after the first 3 events got completely exaggerated while Biden's was underestimated.

(68,768 posts)person...but not a great candidate in terms of running a winning race...I heard her the day before super Tuesday...giving almost a laundry list of stuff to do for the virus...she is right but people don't vote for laundry lists. I like Warren, she was my second choice.
