Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumKrystal Ball: Bernie can still win, here's how.
Ball is one of the smartest progressives in the media, and I hope she's right, but I think the odds are pretty low.
Still, for progressives, if you want to see an argument that there is still a path to the nomination for Bernie, here it is.

(13,069 posts)This should not be about Sanders. This should be about our Democracy. For Sanders to continue this attack on Democrats, only helps Trump.
It is time Bernie to stop the selfish act.

(11,769 posts)That angle will appeal to Sanders' base, but won't grow it and will alienate voters who supported the other candidates who dropped out and whose candidates are now supporting Biden. Sanders needs to attack trump and his corruption. I also don't agree with her on Sanders/Warren ticket as being the way forward or unifying. There is a very vocal part of Sanders' base who hates Warren, calls her every misogynist name in the book, daily smears, hisses at her, etc... I switched to Biden, not Sanders, and I believe a lot of former Warren supporters will do the same. Plus, I don't feel two NE candidates is a winning ticket. I'm sure Warren will suspend her campaign soon, but I honestly have no idea who she will endorse or if she will.
I like Sanders' from way back in the Brunch With Bernie, days. I like a lot of his platform. If he's our eventual nominee, I will work hard for him and get as many people as I can to vote for him.
