Is anybody else suspicious that this was Bloomberg's end game all along?

That is, to get lots of attention on Trump's bad behavior by spending money nobody else had and then handing it off to Biden who he considered the one for the job?

If so, then he is a real hero in my book.

By any means necessary...

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Someone posted on another site how Bloomberg threw away $500 Million.. He didn't every single one of those ads helps whoever the nominee is and hurts Trump. Because of those ads, Donald Trump's divisiveness is on everyone's mind, he set it up perfectly for a likable and unifying candidate to take it home.

Every single one of those dollars spent helps Democrats.

And he didn’t want Bernie becoming the nominee. Pretty simple explanation really. Now that Joe has taken the delegate lead and will likely hold on to it until the convention, it means Bernie won’t be the nominee by any standard. And I think Bloomberg will shift his focus to bulldog on Trump and his sycophant allies.

Either way it’s a win.

his entire game was getting rid of donnie, and he got more mileage out of his ad money by being a candidate.

i don't think it was specifically a mission to support biden from the start, i think he would have done essentially the same thing in a number of scenarios where he's clearly not in contention for the nomination. if sanders (or anyone else) been a clear front-runner at this point, i think bloomberg would have supported them.

until I've seen him spend another half billion on Joe Biden's behalf. Also, should Bernie Sanders manage to get the nomination, I wouldn't put it past Bloomie to launch a third party candidacy. If he doesn't have to debate Elizabeth Warren, he stands a better shot of winning the second time around.

Michael Bloomberg has won everything he's set his mind to do, by any means necessary. Today must be the lowest day of his life. He's got Trump sneering at him, and that's gotta hurt.

Wed Mar 4, 2020, 04:16 PM
Mar 2020

He initially did not get into the race because he thought there were good candidates to beat Trump.

He then saw Biden faltering and decided to get in to stop Warren and Sanders from being the nominee (because he genuinely feels that they cannot win a GE AND because they would be bad for his bank balance).

Bloomberg got out because a) he has no realistic path to the nomination and b) by staying in now he will only hurt Biden (as evidenced by California last night)

I fully expect him to go bats##t on Trump now--people do not realize how personal it is for him to run Trump into the ground.

worried by what he knows and that genuinely (and I think wisely) makes him fearful and not just about his money, but about Trump's mental stability. I also think he learned something important: politics is not his game. He was just awful with Warren. SNL made a fool out of him. That had probably never happened to him before.

He also knows Trump better than we do. Taking him out might be his last legacy to this country.
