I'm not saying it's time for Warren to go

I think she should stay in as long as she wants to and has the funding. But it is time for me to switch.

Hillary Clinton lost white women and with them the election in 2016. If Biden can keep that coalition and do better with white women (and, though I'll never understand it, it's clear now that Warren can't), then there's not really a choice anymore, at least for me.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

having made the switch from Liz last night, when it became clear that there is no path for her to victory.

I've sent her a note to explain why she should go to Biden if/when she suspends her campaign, and urge all pragmatic progressives to do the same. We need to win to get our voice at the table. I don't personally see how Sanders can win this thing, and as far as I can tell from reading here at DU and elsewhere, that far more Warren supporters prefer Biden over Sanders.

In 2015 when discussing the election both of my heavy duty Dem parents said, "America isn't ready for a woman president or Socialism". I hate it when I have to admit this is true. I will not live long enough to see it happen either.

Been to Bernie rallies back in the day, can't figure him out now though?
I think we have a good chance to push Joe over the top, and he will do a good job!

I will NOT vote for yet another old white man in the primaries.

Of course, I will not vote for Tulsi Gabbard either.

Period.

At least you got to do that.

I didn't and apparently I will not get the chance. I truly mourn that.

As for moving on, I'll vote blue in the GE.

But I think that if Warren's out, the primaries are over for me.

My dad was one of those before he passed and he had the biggest heart in the world. I think it makes more sense to judge people on character.

I like EW, her enthusiasm, tenacity and brilliance. I don’t think her being a woman is what kept her from winning the nomination. Hillary is a woman and she by far won the election of 2016 by vote totals. (And possibly everything else had it been a clean election)
Liz just didn’t get as many supporters for whatever reason. Maybe she will be VP and prove to Americans that she deserves it next time around. Never know... politics is a very weird sport.

My own father was also an "old white man," a WWII veteran, a lifelong Democrat and also had the biggest heart in the world. He is still mourned by many old and young, not only by his family.

In six years - assuming I make it that long - I'll be the age he was when he passed in 2004, without getting a chance to vote for John Kerry in the GE. He really was pissed off about that.

I don't know why Liz didn't get the supporters this time around. She should have. But I also don't know why I should have to apologize to anyone for my own feelings when I am not happy with either of the two choices that are left (not counting Gabbard who will NEVER be my choice even if she is a woman).

I'll vote blue in the GE. But right now, I'm not a "happy camper."
