If COVID-19 persists for next 6 months, will trump use it as justification to suspend election

Tea Pain@TeaPainUSA
Tea’s had this naggin’ thought for the past few days. If the Coronavirus persists for the next six months, will Trump use it as rationale for suspendin’ elections?

Has this crossed anyone else’s mind?

Forbid anyone from leaving their homes etc?

I am asking, I dont know, the fact that individual states control the actual voting or not is another matter.

It's not like he's a beacon of health. He's more like 350 pounds of bat poop stuffed into a 239 pound bag. Hey wait, bat poop? Maybe he is the virus!

Which could happen, and would have a bigger effect on urban areas. Or they might use the virus as an excuse to put up more barriers to voting. That seems more likely than cancelling the election.

There is no way they avoid it. The US will never literally become a fascist dictatorship. Almost 250+ year of democracy is not that easy to overthrow. So, the republicans know that they will have to fight elections again at some point and if they enable an ACTUAL dictatorship they'd be finished.

The cdc has carefully mapped out neighborhoods and finds it necessary to order a shelter in place order. Criteria, including race and economic background of communities was carefully analyzed to ensure public safety.

We regret any impacts this may have on elections.
