Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumWarren should take her time - and not endorse.
There is no upside to the progressive movement or to Warren herself that would come from her endorsing either Biden or Sanders.
I was a strong Warren supporter who will campaign and vote for Biden. I want Warren's agenda enacted, and the best route is to first get rid of the orange cancer in the White House.
At this point endorsing will only further divide the party. I trust that after the convention, she will enthusiastically campaign for Biden. He needs to know that he owes some of his leadership to Warren and know that she needs to be listened to and worked with once he is elected.

(25,471 posts)If she endorses Biden, Sanders supporters who are already frustrated will just be...slightly more frustrated. The numbers don't really change. Roughly half of her supporters, according to polls, already plan to support Biden, so it will only solidify the coalition that's been forming around him. She would also be able to openly campaign for him, should she choose to do so.
If she endorses Bernie, not much really changes there, either. It's generally been expected, and her supporters will still likely split between the two. I don't think an endorsement is likely to cause a big swing there. The campaigning aspect would be the same as above.

Plenty of time to campaign after Biden has the nomination.
