Would it be a good thing if our side was proactive and cancelled any more

large public events? We're seeing enough already that we shouldn't be accused of playing the virus and trying to incite panic, as I thought might happen a week or so ago. They might try, but it won't stick now.

goes into exponential spread, that 470 will be a trifling figure in only a week.

Washing hands, while important for people who touch a lot of stuff that other people have touched, is mostly a displacement activity, giving people something to do to act like they're protecting themselves, instead of hoarding masks that health-care workers want.
