I would love to see a woman and a person of color on the ticket.

I think that Kamala Harris would be good, but she is from a state that the ticket will win anyway. Obviously, if it's going to be a close election then if you could pick someone from a swing state who could help you win that state that might be a good idea. Lori Lightfoot might be good but the ticket will most likely win Illinois anyway as well. Stacey Abrams might help the ticket win Georgia and would be a big plus if the ticket could win that traditionally red state,

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Hasn’t voted for a Republican since 1972. Has a Democratic Governor and two Democratic Senators. The latest polling from the Minneapolis Star Tribute has Biden beating Trump by 12 points and Sanders by 9 points.

Even if it were and the choice was VP that would help win Minnesota’s 10 electoral votes or Florida’s 29 votes. Which would you choose?

It is dangerous and a little insulting to assume all people from South Or Central American nations who speak Spanish have the same motivation.

Most Floridians from Spanish speaking countries are from the Caribbean. From my not limited experience working with them they don’t feel any special connection to Mexican Americans. Would love to hear a fellow Floridian of Hispanic heritage tell me I don’t know what I am talking about. But that has been my impression. Cubans here tend conservative, at least the older ones. And Puerto Rican’s, while more reliable democrats and with ample reason to hate trump, see themselves as citizens by birth even if born in PR. The ones I know and talk with do not see themselves as immigrants. Just Americans who moved.

And we won midwest women in 2018 without Klobuchar. Abrams could bring Georgia, southern votes and women voters in general. Black voters won't be taken for granted forever without getting a seat at the table. No Dem wins without heavy black voter turnout.

And the last successful Dem ticket was a black man and a white man.

A running mate needs to match up and compliment the nominee and provide more broad benefits like being charismatic, intelligent and have strong background that makes people feel comfortable that person could handle being POTUS should something happen to the President. Also, in our case in this election, a woman of color would be great.

I think our best options are Kamala Harris, Susan Rice, Van Demings or Stacey Abrams.
