Stop it, Sanders, stop it

The "Democratic establishment" put pressure on Buttigieg and on Klobuchar? Otherwise you would have won Minnesota?

Perhaps if we still had caucuses even though it appeared that you did not do as well as last time in IA and in NV.

Why, do you think, Klobuchar has been winning her senate seat? Why, do you think we flipped two R seats with moderates? And, yes, two D seats to R - the only ones? Because we are moderate. We are sensible Midwestern no nonsense citizens who do not go for "revolution" (Omar notwithstanding). That's why. And your appearance at Klobuchar backyard with Omar, on the eve of the primaries was offensive. For that alone you should have lost Minnesota.

Still, iff the "establishment" did send to convince them, good for them. We learned the lesson from the mistakes of the Republican party in 2016 though they could not decide who was worse: Trump or Cruz.

And, really, you cannot out whine our whiner in chief in the White House. So stop it please. In the words of Palin (Palin?) man up.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Or will he linger on as he did last time, with the dubious intent of "steering the discussion" or however he rationalized keeping the spotlight on himself to the detriment of the Democratic candidate?

It would be nice if he (Sanders the divider, Sanders the Democrat of convenience, Sanders the self-declared foe of Democrats and Republicans alike) would take the principled step now of committing to support the eventual nominee, even if (god forbid) it once again isn't Sanders?

And will his supporters join him in supporting that candidate? Or will they content themselves by tilting at windmills until Trump retakes the oath in Jan 2021?

The real question is should he? The answer to that I think is dependant on how he does on the 17th and if he fails to win enough to keep him as a true competitor for the nomination I would hope he would drop out just like I will hope Biden will do the same should Bernie stage a strong enough comeback to put him ahead with a clear lead.
I also think Bernie needs to stay in the party this time if he loses especially if he wants to make another run for the nomination in 4 to 8 years that way he can build a better foundation to win.

. . .haven't exactly covered themselves in glory, either

The candidates endorsed by these vehicles, with one or two exceptions, had their asses handed to them in the 2018 primaries.

The Democrats who defeated them, became the vanguard of the Blue Wave, went on to oust their GOP counterparts, and win seats in Congress and other offices were, for the most part moderates, in red or purple districts.

If they're serious about "taking over the Democratic Party", they should actually join their Democratic committees in their own hometowns and work from there as district leaders/precinct captains, etc. Get enough of them at those levels, work their way upward by winning small offices, then big ones, then maybe the DNC will have a place for them at the table.

As it is, their approach to politics and elections is like dumping a truckload of sugar in the ocean and expecting syrup in return. They'd do a lot better by sweetening the cup in their own communities first.

Mathematically, Biden is going to win the nomination unless some extraordinary event happens. Why pick fights with Sanders at this point? What benefit does this give to Biden in the fall? Let the process play out as designed. Let every state vote. It's OK if people vote. Your guy is going to win the nomination. Focus now on building bridges. Being welcoming isn't going to harm the outcome of the nomination phase, but it well better unify the party in the Fall.

She's a Republican based on previous yard signs. Sanders voters are likely Democrats. Even if they don't vote for Biden, they'll vote down-ticket. In a best-case scenario they will vote for Biden too. In a worst case, they won't vote at all.
