The fact that we have always supported most his ideas need not be mentioned. We had them before he came on the scene. But you can’t implement ideas by fiat.

M4A is not a realistic approach to actually solving the problem of providing healthcare. And by promising something he can't deliver, he actually does more harm by preventing more achievable goals from being accomplished.

but that’s irrelevant. This primary is about coalition building and getting thing back on track. I like Bernie’s and Liz’s ideas also, but now is not the time.

was because I liked his ideas and wanted to move the Democratic party more in that direction.

successfully promoting popular ideas might have led to winning a nomination. That may have been Bernie's plan but, always, perceived electability and personality are also factors. In this cycle the latter factors are outweighing the former.

We will have European/Canadian style health care, safety net and income equality some day. Bernie proving the popularity of those concepts in the US will play a role in hastening that day.
