Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI sent my ballot in (in WA), before Warren dropped out.
There might have been a method for me to go to my local election board and get the ballot back and switch it, but I didn't. I kind of regret it now.
But when I look back, I am not upset that my vote was recorded for Warren. She was the most able and praiseworthy candidate in this race.
My preference now is for Joe Biden, but of course I would vote for anyone in the general.

(12,158 posts)Then he dropped out. I don't wish to take my vote back as it was my choice. Even without him putting his support behind Biden I was already there. I am a little concerned that the two front runners are elderly, but what you see is what you get.
As to Sanders, I wonder if he wins the White House and a miracle happens the Senate and House go to us, will a Democratic Congress support the policies of a man whose supporters have such contempt for the party. (bit of a run on sentence)

I, too, am glad to have my vote for a progressive woman on record for posterity.
Joe will be fine.

(18,402 posts)For any race, whether it's for county clerk or president, it is probably wise to hold off voting for as long as possible. Anything can happen in an election: scandal, plane crash, piece of information you didn't know, or anything else under the sun.
We usually don't think about this, but this primary election has taught us a little lesson perhaps.
