because they can do the math. But what they can do with ease is sow division among Democrats.

He's not going to run independent, or he would've already. Most states won't allow it, and he's pledged not to.

He needs to just join the team and get his message listened to from inside. The longer he stays in, the less the people who are going to be running things, are going to care about him. His inability to listen and to work with teams are exactly the reasons why I chose Warren originally, and stopped following him in 2016.

However, the OP's assertion is completely off-base

BERNIE SANDERS IS RECEIVING 7 TIMES AS MUCH POSITIVE RUSSIAN MEDIA COVERAGE AS JOE BIDEN, ANALYSIS SHOWS

https://www.newsweek.com/bernie-sanders-russian-media-coverage-1490862

Clint Watts is an Army vet, a former FBI guy and an expert in counterterrorism, espionage and cyberwarfare...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Watts

It's absurd to believe that Bernie is knowingly accepting help from Putin & Gang but if Watt's saying Russia is actively promoting Sanders' campaign you can take it to the bank that is exactly what is happening.

But to single out Sanders campaign, is not appropriate. Few, if any, Americans pay any attention to Russian news sources ... although clearly a number of memes and #'s are likely started there and picked up by Sanders followers, as well as Trump followers. They are also trying to incite panic in the West with Covid rumors and lies. The OP suggests that Sanders is somehow involved. I don't believe that.

It's really hard to quantify exactly how much impact all this Russian meddling has on our elections but Putin's as sharp as he is evil...if he didn't think it had any effect I doubt he'd be pursuing it as intensely as he has over the years...both here and around the globe.

As long as we have a traitor in office who not only looks the other way but publicly asks for such foreign assistance this shit will never end.

Frankly, most people aren't paying one whit of attention to Sanders, so if Putin was putting efforts into this, it would be time and effort wasted. They probably have a few small ops to try to continue to cause issues, but the only people who will get that message are the far radicals in Sanders camp, which are a minority, and who likely will sit things out anyway.

Trump, OTOH, has basically the full force of the FSB behind his re-election campaign, and that's what people should be focusing on. The OPs tone is such that it creates more divisiveness, hence helping any Russian activities. I do not send any alert on this, but wish it had been taken down,

But that he can still do damage to Biden now by continuing to sow seeds of discord among the Dems using Bernie as a foil. A vote lost on the left is one less vote that Trump will need to counter it.

Once Bernie finally exits stage left and it's full-up D vs R then the REALLY fun shit starts.

Why are posters on DU trying to push away Sanders voters from Biden and the Democratic Party? What possible motive could they have to divide us when it is time to come together. Vote Blue No Matter Who, this from a Sanders and Warren supporter. Don’t take the bait and fight, folks. Donate to your local food bank instead!

When Sanders withdraws from the contest he has lost, promises to refrain from blackmail at the convention over nonesense like platform planks and primary rules, and gives a full-throated endorsement of Mr. Biden for President, and Democrats all the way down the line, yea, even to Sen. Manchin and Rep. Cuellar, then no one will have the least need to attack the man.

My dislike of the man will remain, but I will feel under no obligation to press that in public. Once he does the right thing. Until he does, yes, attacks not only will but ought to be continued.

say Russia's using him again for 2020, actually never stopped, but are a lot more secret and sophisticated in their techniques this time. Sanders announced back in autumn 2016 that he'd run in 2020 and they've had these years to get them in place and up and running.

For those who don't like this reality, assets don't have to agree or collude, just be in positions and behave in ways that make them useful. A leader for instance, as opposed to clueless or uncaring supporters. Trump's also an asset, even if he is knowingly colluding. Too much of a narcissistic whackjob to be an actual agent.

And of course, all the voters, nonvoters, toxic pundits etc who helped elect Trump were useful idiots.
