1. He is actually IN the race.
2. DUers actually listen to or read the candidate's remarks. Since Buttigieg's speeches read like a West Wing speech, they were bound to be popular.
Things this is not:
Support in any meaningful or substantive way.
Reflective of any vote anywhere.
Things this is:
Indicative of potential appeal. The more Mayor Pete can get out there, the better his chances.
