Trump hits union chiefs after Biden gets key endorsement

President Trump on Monday blasted union leaders after former Vice President Joe Biden received the endorsement of a major firefighters’ labor group.

“I’ll never get the support of Dues Crazy union leadership, those people who rip-off their membership with ridiculously high dues, medical and other expenses while being paid a fortune. But the members love Trump,” the president said.

Trump, who has long claimed support of rank-and-file union members, added that “they look at our record economy, tax & reg cuts, military etc.” and see a “WIN!”

The president’s latest attack came hours after the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) announced it would endorse Biden's 2020 Democratic presidential bid after staying out of the 2016 election, declining to endorse Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton or Trump.

Trump seems rather . . . disturbed. In a adolescent way. I mean really. Who goes on like this beyond a 15 or 16 year old.

Arrested development!

200,000 to join Mar A Lago with an additional 14,000 a year in dues. The trump family is being paid a fortune for having the wealthy gather at the garish establishment. Rich people can be really stupid.

5. Biden fires back at Trump: 'I'm sick of this president badmouthing unions'

Former Vice President Joe Biden hit back at President Trump on Monday shortly after Trump unleashed a string of Twitter attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate.

"I'm sick of this President badmouthing unions," tweeted Biden, who formally announced last week his intention to challenge Trump in 2020. "Labor built the middle class in this country. Minimum wage, overtime pay, the 40-hour week: they exist for all of us because unions fought for those rights. We need a President who honors them and their work."

His comment comes after Trump criticized labor union leaders over the fees they charge their members. The attack came in the wake of Biden receiving a key endorsement from a major firefighters labor group.

in 2016, and endorsing VP Biden is a slap in his narcissistic face.

Even though the IAFF had traditionally supported the Democratic Party for its pro-union policies, that support had declined for some time. They narrowly voted for Obama twice. Then in 2016 only 27% said they voted for Hillary, twice as many said they voted for Trump, and "an unusually large number" refused to say.

From late November 2016:

"Nearly 85 percent of professional firefighters are white, and more than 95 percent are men, making them look a lot like the other blue-collar voters who surged to Donald Trump this year. But firefighters are also heavily unionized, tend to live in cities or suburbs (rural areas often have volunteer fire companies) and are government employees — all factors generally associated with the Democratic Party. And all of those characteristics, along with the fact that firefighters are roughly evenly distributed across the country (rural areas often have volunteer fire companies) and are government employees — all factors generally associated with the Democratic Party.

And all of those characteristics, along with the fact that firefighters are roughly evenly distributed across the country, make the group a microcosm of the larger breakup between working-class whites and the Democratic Party this year."

Well, this particular "microcosm" of the famous white male working class Democrats who'd just had too much equality is moving back to the Democrats.

Thanks, guys. Always grateful for you, but...

"Joe understands the dignity of work. ... He has really a 40-year track record of performance." ... And he also has the ability to speak to those workers, and particularly in the states that are key in the next presidential election, to be able to connect with them, ... " IAFF President

Psycho. he seems really disturbed that VP Joe Biden is such a positive influence!

Firefighters union leader on Biden endorsement: 'He has a track record of delivering'

He has a track record of delivering, and we’re a group that measures it pretty straightforward,” Harold Schaitberger told Hill.TV’s Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti on “Rising.”

“Joe Biden has had the backs and stood with firefighters across this nation throughout his Senate career, and certainly as vice president of the United States, and so we’re now prepared to stand with him,” Schaitberger said.

He added that Biden has long supported a number of worker-related issues, including fair wages, retirement security and protecting union rights.
