I notice considering we have the highest percentage on this site saying they like her why very few posts about her in The Primaries thread?

Is it because of all the infighting?

I keep hearing both from here and in my outside life I like her the best but can she win?

I feel people hear that on the media non stop.

Saying its not true isn’t enough. What do you all say?

I actually got into a argument with my girlfriend the other day who is more moderate. All this Trump stuff has us even more on edge then 2004 and Bush and I thought then no way would people reelect him.

seeing lately in the so-called news coverage, many are still critical of her M4A and "wealth tax" proposals. Most of us do not want to post such here because there are supporters of other candidates who so "helpfully" post them here already.

Several RW sources (Fox, Washington Examiner, Daily Mail, etc., etc.) are currently all running with stories about her lack of presence at Senate votes. Per their count, she has missed about 44 percent. However, she is NOT alone in this AND three other candidates who are Senators have higher percentages of missed votes. See, e.g., https://www.politico.com/news/2019/11/15/senate-voting-records-070916

The same RW news outlets are also currently running with stories about Elizabeth supposedly "lying" about sending her kids to public schools because her son ALSO attended a private school. That is true in that he attended a private school after fifth grade. That private school was not a Charter School, however. The point that Elizabeth was making was that Charter Schools should not receive federal funding that should be going to public schools. The fact is that she did NOT "lie" about his having attended a public school. Her daughter apparently attended public schools only.

The fact that such specious articles keep circulating among RW media, along with continuing attacks on her "wealth tax" proposals, primarily by billionaires, shows that there really isn't much that they can attack her with. I see them principally as signs of desperation.

At least one negative OP about her that was posted on DU by a supporter of another candidate was that she apparently needed Pressley to act as an "audience whisperer" during her speech to black women, as if that means that she couldn't do it on her own. LOL. What such stories did NOT specify (although comments following the OP helped to) was that the protesters were sponsored by RW school-choice advocates, that the topic of the speech was primarily about black women's contributions to and participation in the US labor movement - NOT school choice, and that Elizabeth also spoke to the protesters after completing her speech. Of course, it was from that last that her supposed "lie" about her children's attendance in public schools emerged.

It is a credit to supporters of other candidates that they have NOT generally posted the more specious stories here. I hope that continues.

Like most of us, I have restrained myself from posting negative OPs about other Dem candidates. Because there are also plenty of those.

*********

The fact that M4A didn't even make it as a topic of debate at the last "debate" shows, IMO, that the criticisms have largely been blunted and/or defanged. No one dared to bring the topic up because she was too-well prepared for questions about it. She could literally have blown them out of the water.

Also, other candidates seemed to be more interested in going after Pete Buttigieg. But those same candidates never went after him in nearly the same way that they went after Elizabeth in October. That, to me, was telling.

In the meantime, Elizabeth just keeps quietly and effectively organizing, whether she gets credit for this or not. This will be her greatest strength in the long run.

And don't worry, when we Warren supporters see positive articles that do not go out of their way to slur other Dem candidates, we WILL post them.
