I'm listening to Liz Cheney's book in my car and after January 6th the Democrats prepared Articles of (another) impeachment while the Republicans prepared a Censure using almost the same language. Even three members of the "Freedom Caucus" signed on (NOT Gym Jordan) because what happened on January 6th was so serious, including the deaths and severe injuries of Capitol Police who they all knew. However, many Republicans were too afraid to sign on because of threats they were receiving to their families.

As for Stefanik, any reason she loses her seat is more than fine with me. She was greeted with protests right after she was elected but after the impeachment hearings she's gone full on TFG. She's become a national embarrassment and there were calls for her resignation but she's only doubled down.

My Dad was still a kid during WWII, though I'm still not exactly when he served since he graduated from high school on time and from college four years later. But there are photos of him in uniform and one of my earliest memories is seeing him in uniform, he must have been still in the reserves or whatever it was called for the Navy.
