"The Blue Road to Trump Hell": The Democrats' Loss in 2024 & How to Revive the Party

A new report from the grassroots organization RootsAction aims to do what a promised "autopsy" from the Democratic National Committee ultimately did not: publicly reckon with the failures of the Democrats' 2024 presidential campaign. While the Democratic Party's official postmortem assessment was pulled from public release earlier this month, RootsAction's "Democratic Autopsy" looks at how factors like "service to corporate power, hostility to the progressive wing of the party, out-of-control militarism [and] disconnection from the base of the working class" contributed to declining support for the party's platform and candidates. "If you don't examine real history, then you're in a cycle that repeats the same problems," says Norman Solomon, director of RootsAction, who joins Democracy Now! to discuss his organization's findings.

that if we let them run everything we'd win. If they were in charge we'd lose way worse. Why do we lose? A big part of it is that the right wing has a machine that lies and they've brainwashed a big part of the population. Its a tough one to solve but if we did we'd never lose again.

progressive politics doesn’t win, then it’s a lost cause anyway.

I have an alternate theory:
after 56 years in Tech, I have an interesting view of the election. Considering the analysis of Pennsylvania alone, there's a big Rat in the pantry. So many precincts reporting more voters than registered, etc. We're looking at a massive man in the middle operation. Truth is, and of course orange pangolini just had to brag about it, ( I have all the votes I need) he and Eeloon cooked the election. So guess what? We may have actually won this election, were it not for Dumps meddling with Musk on it .. So all this mental prestidigitation & hand wringing on our part is a bit of extraneous exercise. If true, it will come out. and Elon's prediction will come true, and he will be going to jail, becoming the world's richest convict. Just consider this a very real possibility. Has that Orangutan EVER done Anything of worth without having to cheat? EVER?
