Residents in Kentucky are being asked to sign NDAs from AI data center companies in order to give the community more information about the project. NBC News' Brian Cheung spoke to two residents who were offered more than 8 million dollars from the company to sell their land.

That will be a brutal wake up call for other ceos of his ilk (Satya Nadella, Marc Andreessen, Alex Pentland, Lucy Guo, Alexandr Wang, Fei Fei Li, Suhail Doshi, Musk, David Sacks, Peter Thiel, Mitesh Bohra, Vincent Palathingal, Shyam Palantir Creep (can’t remember his name or bother to look it up), Ragy Thomas, Jeff Bezos etc).

I deleted an overly long earlier version of this, but that is the gist. Lina Khan was awesome, but after Trump 2.0 it is increasingly clear seriously that till these guys are held criminally liable for everything from incitement* to backdoor attacks on every facet of democracy globally, they will continue.
New legal precedents are badly needed. And they exploit this Cato/Koch model of immigration which is mercenary and heartless and fans the flames of Turner Diaries style nazi populism driven by far right grifters like Steve Bannon.

And these guys muck around in my country here, India as well as over there and enough.
This has to lead to legal reform before guillotines and executions are resorted to by people driven nuts by all this.

The sane (i.e. non Vance/non Trump) parts of the state should make an example of Sundar Pichai and send him to a real world federal prison for 5-15 years.
If he is lucky his cell-mate would not be someone who ended up in prison thanks to Google’s geofences.

*: looking back, as far back as 2010-2011, YouTube’s algorithms were a noxious influence. These are the forces misdirecting human anger on our overpopulated, under-educated, ecologically devastated planet testing the limits of growth. And this specific form of deregulated growth, i.e. junk produced by internet companies like Google, Facebook, Twitter, ByteDance etc checks healthier growth. It is parasitic and reminiscent of super fit cancer cells, invasive species etc., not anything good. It is bad for human brains and earth.
They need to be held criminally liable. They were lousy even prior to AI.
