Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that anti-government protests in Iran are "a clear sign that things will not become easier for Russia" and "it is important that the world does not miss this moment." "Every decent person in the world genuinely wants the people of Iran to finally have the fortune to free themselves from the regime in power there – one that has brought so much evil, including to Ukraine and other countries," said Zelenskyy in his nightly video-address. Zelenskyy also commented on the situation in Venezuela, and how "principled action" had been taken against sanctioned oil vessels, following the seizure of a Russian-flagged tanker in the North Atlantic last week. - 01/13/2026.
