Let's talk about a Trump admin request for more intelligence and 100 days.... - Belle of the Ranch

Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about an administration request for more intelligence. I second that.

Reporting has come out that suggests the command overseeing operations in Iran has requested additional intelligence officers to support the operation. The request is to have them transferred to a US military base for a period of 100 days, but potentially through September. Wake me up when it ends.

We've gone from soon to 4 weeks to 100 days to maybe September. I'm getting some really heavy key 3 days vibes here. I'm sure soon they'll tell us the troops will be home by Christmas. This news is breaking at the same time as Secretary of Defense Hegseth saying the war has “only just begun” and that the US was “just getting started.”

Hegseth when talking about press coverage of the deaths of US service members said “but when a few drones get through or tragic things happen it's from page news. I get it. The press only wants to make the president look bad, but try for wants to report the reality.”

The reality is that at least six troops are no longer experiencing this reality because of an elective war. Meanwhile, there are serious questions about the capability of the US to maintain the air defense shield being used to protect American forces due to potentially running out of interceptors. The administration is particularly worried about low cost drones Iran produces and how to effectively counter them.

Well, maybe if you stop carrying Putin's talking points and ask the Ukrainians, who have been dealing with those exact drones for a while, they'll help out. They seem to be holding the cards.

In related news, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Dan Caine said, "We have sufficient precision munitions for the task at hand, both the offense and defense." What an odd thing to say. Nobody was wondering about a shortage of offensive precision guided munitions really.

Oh, this just in. Hegseth has said the US will shift to gravity bombs for offensive operations which lack the standoff capability. Trump took to social media to post “The United States munition stockpiles have at the medium and upper medium grade never been higher or better. As was stated to me today, we have a virtually unlimited supply of these weapons. Wars can be fought forever and very successfully using just these supplies.”

Wars can be fought forever. Yeah, that's what we're worried about actually. It's worth noting that after a classified briefing, Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut said, "This feels like a multi-trillion dollar open-ended conflict with a very confusing and constantly shifting set of goals. They told us in that room that there are going to be more Americans that are going to die. We shouldn't be voting to proceed to other pieces of legislation until we get a debate on this deeply unpopular, immoral, and illegal war with Iran.”

Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts said, "The Trump administration has no plan in Iran. This illegal war is based on lies, and it was launched without any imminent threat to our nation. Donald Trump still hasn't given a single clear reason for this war, and he seems to have no plan for how to end it either.”

Senator Richard Blumenthal, also of Connecticut, said, "I am more fearful than ever after this briefing that we may be putting boots on the ground."

Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
