Let's talk about how Trump thinks 'maybe we shouldn't even be there' in Iran.... - Belle of the Ranch
Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about how Trump thinks maybe we shouldn't even be there in Iran.
Oh, y'all aren't going to believe this. Trump has uttered a phrase anybody who knows about international affairs knows to be true. "Really, I'm demanding that these countries come in and protect their own territory because it is their territory. They should come and they should help us protect it. You could make the case that maybe we shouldn't even be there at all because we don't need it. We have a lot of oil. We're the number one producer anywhere in the world times two.
Okay, let's just skip over the fact that the President of the United States seems to classify the developing world as territories of larger ones, but more like franchise territory, not territory under international law.
Trump actually said, "You could make the case that maybe we shouldn't even be there at all about an active conflict that he started." Look, I agree. This never should have happened. Do you know who has the ability to fix that? Trump.
He could acknowledge his mistake and withdraw right now. There is absolutely nothing stopping him from doing that except his own ego and maybe some really bad advisors. We all know he won't do that, but he could also declare victory. say his appetite for destruction has been filled and withdraw today.
By the administration's own statements, he started a war based on his feelings and it will end when he feels it in his bones. And now he's wondering if he ever should have done it. He's doing it at the same time as he's trying to get other countries to come in and put their troops in harm's way to clean up his mess.
I want to be clear on something. His elective war was in fact elective, something he chose to do, not something he had to do. He appears to be half-heartedly acknowledging this now. It would be great if he declared victory and walked away, but I'm going to suggest that until he makes that decision, he probably shouldn't say, "We shouldn't even be there at all," while treating dignified transfers like campaign events.
Iran's forces have now seen Trump declare them defeated while they know they're still combat effective and have now seen him second guess continuing the fight in public while destroying the morale of US forces expected to put their lives on the line fighting in a place where maybe we shouldn't even be there at all. He's also managed to boost the morale of Iran's forces.
I am once again suggesting that the administration get some MISO guys in the room to stop members of the administration from saying things that hurt American forces. MISO is military information support operations.
I recently found out that Hegseth has ordered a return to the terminology of psychological operations, which is peak Trump administration, having a very serious opinion about what it should be called, but not actually understanding what it is or employing it. But I guess calling it a tough name is better than, you know, avoiding undermining the war effort that maybe shouldn't have even happened.
Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
