But what about Pam Bondi is saying pretty much falls in line with everything else this administration and the Republican party as a whole has been trying to do for years, which is to decide who is American enough to be called an American. I mean, after all, cut off jean shorts are practically our nation's uniform. But the question remains, how hard is it going to be to get this country of ours so perfectly patriotic?

They promised to lower inflation, but now inflation's going up. They promised to release the Epstein files, but there's still 3 million files missing. They promised to end foreign wars, but now this might as well be America's ringtone [sound of Tomahawk missile launch].

Over and over again, Donald Trump and the Republican party vowed that every action they took would be driven by their America First mentality. And not only have they done the opposite, they are literally celebrating their hypocrisy.

Pam Bondi, Donald Trump, and the rest of the sycophantic GOP can talk as much as they want about how much they love America, but when every action they take is explicitly anti-American, it rings a tad hollow. Being American means that you have the right to read what you want, watch what you want, say what you want, and look how you want, even if it happens to upset the people who are in charge at the moment.
