A lot of this is geographical. Conservatives tend to live in sparsely populated, rural, or near-rural areas. They do not understand that those areas are not economically viable without a large, densely-populated metropolitan urban area somewhere else in the state. These sparsely populated areas do not have the tax base to maintain the infrastructure, i.e. roads, electricity, sewage, hospitals, schools, etc. Living in these remote areas gives conservatives the false ideas of "freedom" and "independence". Sure, that's all good when you have rich city dwellers paying for it all.
Too many Americans believe that it's their god given right to live in, or near, the wilderness and still enjoy first world living standards.
Trump Burger restaurant is a tourist attraction monument to the former president.
The restaurant caught my eye after a former colleague snapped a photo of it while picking her son up from camp nearby. So I decided to go check it out. Its hard to miss in person: Pro-Trump banners and American flags hang from the side of the patio deck. Front and center, atop the restaurants name, is an illustration of the 45th president.

At first, I was shocked.I would have expected Trump to demand a cut of their sales. But then I got to the last line in the story....
Washington DC's Metro Network Evolution
This is very sentimental to me. I was born and raised in DC. I was there when the very first new stations opened. I haven't lived in DC since 1993. Wow. The system has grown.

This is what modern civilization looks like.
I'm reading "The Expanse" book series by James SA Corey ***NO SPOILERS***
I've watched the Amazon series, and I'm currently in book 3. James SA Corey is the pen name for co-authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. Previous to the series, Franck worked as George RR Martin's assistant. You can see similarities in the characters between the two series as well as some narrative themes, e.g. Chrisjen Avasarala = Lady Olenna Tyrell, Bobbi Draper = Brienne, and Jim Holden = Jon Snow.
If you're a fan of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, then you will love this series, and it's finished. I recommend reading it until Winds of Winter comes out. Yes, I still have faith.
This is not an SNL skit. The AZ Republican Party Gov debate.
I repeat. This is not a comedy skit. What you're about to see is real.

Poor Ted. As a young man, he probably had hopes and dreams of a major career in broadcast journalism.
