Listening to an interview with Spike Lee on Fresh Air...
Lotsa good stuff, but I almost fell off the couch when he talked about several times the studio suits brought some black guys from the mailroom to sit in the meeting. He's sure they never knew he was on to them, but he played the game.
Ended the interview with "I trust Joe and my sister from Howard to do the right thing."
Just got a call from the VA and scheduled a Covid shot for Saturday...

Anybody know what is this banana fly that invaded my kitchen?
No pix-- can't deal with a macro setup right now.
But, what happened is I bought some bananas that were in a plastic bag. When I got them home and opened the bag, tiny flies flew out. Really tiny-- not much bigger than the period at the end of this sentence. I found them taking up residence in the kitchen garbage bag and managed to trap most of them and toss them out.
There were hundreds of them, more than were originally in the banana bag, which leads me to think they have breeding cycle of maybe minutes. An hour at most. Like tribbles, they are born pregnant.
This is not the first time this has happened. Anybody have any idea what this bug is?
Just got an email from Desantis bragging about being the first governor to fight Silicon Valley...
and, of course, begging for money. (Somehow getting on these rightwing email lists brings the strangest things.)
He is upset about Twitter banning Trump and fellow travelers.

Silly question. I've been told not to use the hot water from the sink in cooking. And recipes all...
seem to start with a pot of cold water .
So, why not use the water that's already hot? It came in through the same pipes and only made a quick detour through the water heater.
