I think Adam Kinzinger, Illinois Republican is playing it smart for the long run

He is setting himself up to be a big player on the conservative side in say 8 years when the party realizes following Trump was a losing direction. He will look quit attractive Nationally at that point.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger starting ‘movement’ to reclaim GOP from fringe elements
in explaining his decision, said “this is no time for silence.”

Coronavirus seems to mutate much slower than seasonal flu

This is old but I am reposting it because the comment sections on youtube and news articles talking about booster shots for covid for different variants are filled with idiots saying we won't be able to control Covid because of the mutations or that fucking Plandemic was right. Not sure what dumb shit in Plandemic they are referring to.

Snip:

Given that the SARS-CoV-2 genome is almost twice as large as the seasonal flu genome, it seems as though the seasonal flu mutates roughly four times as fast as SARS-CoV-2. The fact that the seasonal flu mutates so quickly is precisely why it is able to evade our vaccines, so the significantly slower mutation rate of SARS-CoV-2 gives us hope for the potential development of effective long-lasting vaccines against the virus.

I wish someone would take over the Q boards and convince everyone they need to get to some remote

deserted island to fend for themselves since some kind of super weapon is being built to kill everyone by April. And they can't leave for 100 years because that is how long it will take for the planet to heal and the toxins to dissipate. How can we make this happen? Watching Marjorie Taylor Greene and Boebert and their herd of Dunning Kruger Award winning followers has me convinced this really needs to happen.

While writing this, it just occurred to me that whomever has all the Q folks email info has a fucking gold mine for selling scams and shit that doesn't work.

Breaking! They have spotted where the Jewish space lasers are coming from

How could we have ever doubted Marjorie Taylor Green???

With GM and China moving to electric cars, is there now a high probability there will be

a seismic type shift from gas to electric in the next 20 years? It seems like once a few big boys start doing this then suddenly everyone jumps on board. Kind of like when digital cameras came on. I don't think any car companies want to end up being the Kodak of the car industry if they are smart. This is wonderful news for CO2 output then.

I would like to hear peoples take on this?

Bill Maher Pushes Steve Bannon Wuhan Lab COVID Conspiracy

Trying to keep an open mind on this but these two were not impressive. One of his main points was the virus doesn't spread well outside. So does that mean flu's and colds are man made since they spread better inside too?

Back in April, Bill Maher went on a hysterical rant against China over the novel coronavirus. The Real Time host insisted that COVID-19 be called “the Chinese virus” because it originated in China, citing the Spanish flu as precedent (which did not come from Spain, unbeknownst to Maher); railed against the “PC Police” for refusing to let him and others call it “the Chinese virus,” even though hate crimes against Asian-Americans had risen to 100 cases a day at the time; and compared China’s wet markets, where he said the virus originated, to nuclear bombs.

Well, on tonight’s edition of his HBO show, Maher welcomed a pair of podcast hosts, the husband-and-wife duo of Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying, to discuss the origins of COVID-19. Weinstein and Heying, for the uninitiated, are members of the so-called “intellectual dark web” who in 2017 both resigned from their posts as biology professors at Evergreen State College in protest of a minority-appreciation day, and have since whined about campus speech on a number of libertarian-leaning podcasts.

Maher proceeded to forward the conspiracy theory that COVID-19 was man-made and somehow escaped from a lab in Wuhan.

Why do vaccines often provide better protection to a virus than the immune response from someone

who had the virus?

I heard this sort of thing was occurring with the South Africa variant.

Editing as I finally found the answer:

A better immune response
Vaccines have other advantages over natural infections. For one, they can be designed to focus the immune system against specific antigens that elicit better responses.

For instance, the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine elicits a stronger immune response than infection by the virus itself. One reason for this is that the vaccine contains high concentrations of a viral coat protein, more than what would occur in a natural infection. This triggers strongly neutralizing antibodies, making the vaccine very effective at preventing infection.
