I liken the legal campaign against Trump
to be akin to an inside-the-park home run attempt.
Usually in that circumstance the ball is hit by the batter deep and caroms off an anomaly in the wall (or an angled wall as is placed in the Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park) away from the fielder(s) in such a manner that the race is on between the base runner and the fielder who needs to apprehend the ball, wind up and throw it to a cutoff person, who then relays it to the catcher who needs to apply the tag at home plate.
Here, the various law enforcement agencies are investigating but the clock is running and the question is, are they going to tag this guy out or is he going to slide home safely because the fielders handled the ball too gingerly?
So I spend virtually all my time in front of the tv screaming at it, either if it’s tuned to MSNBC or ESPN/FS1/TBS/TNT. I’m losing it and shall require tranquilizers and therapy when this is all, meaning the elections and the baseball season, over with.

Here is a question I have long pondered:
Say for the sake of argument we lose the House and the 1/6 Committee is no longer in existence or whatever the mechanism might be for renewal or reconstitution. What is to prevent the Senate, still hopefully in Democratic hands, from creating a Select Committee a la Watergate? You KNOW that if the situation were reversed, there’d already have been ten Senate committees looking into this.

No...Alex Jones did not lie...
Lying is when you say you returned the borrowed garden tool when you full-well know it’s in your garage but can’t or won’t own up to it…or asserting to your wife/husband/lover that you were just meeting the high school friend for a drink when in fact you wound up at the Super 8 Motel…or saying that you returned all the classified documents when you certainly did not. Those are lies of variable importance.
What Jones did in fact was to attempt to destroy the very underpinnings of civilization by proclaiming that a horrifying tragedy involving the horrendously destructive painful deaths of children and teachers did in fact not occur, that the parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends and acquaintances did not suffer the incalculable losses. For that is what they are: incalculable, the grotesquely unnecessary disruption of the firmament of the world, the gestalt of the social universe, has been wrenched and vaporized for all time.
To do this to these families is in my opinion essentially a capital crime and should be treated as such. This is criminality of the worst endeavors and no less than life in prison should await the perpetrators of this engine of crime. These families have been utterly destroyed twice and as someone once said: “Somebody’s gotta go to jail.” So be it Mr Jones.
Well this is going to put a bit of a dent in the financials of that prick Jones...
