hermetic's JournalKitty rescue update
Kitties are fixed and home. And as full of piss and vinegar as ever. One surprise, Adam turned out to be an Eve.
I tried to get a picture when they had climbed halfway up the curtain, but they were too wiggly.
Elton is a little love bug
This is Gráinne (Granya) named for the historical figure in 16th-century Irish history. Here she's looking out to sea...
Sleep? What's that? Typical babies, these little ones get up every three hours and start banging the dishes. Feed me! Mom is happy to not have so many demands on her.
Two more weeks and they will be ready for adoption. There are more kitties outside now who still need rescuing so our GFM account is still open.

Babies are in
The four kittens were born outside and have lived their first 12 weeks out there, with some excursions into the great indoors. But we have to teach them to be inside cats so yesterday I cleaned out the spare room and turned it over to them .
Princess, the mom, was so funny. She's been outside her entire 3 years although she has spent many hours staring longingly through the patio door. Now she finally got to come in and she went into every room looking at everything. When she finally saw her room and got a look at herself in the full-length mirror there, she started purring like crazy and strutting all around with her tail in the air.
This morning, I am surrounded by kitties bouncing off the walls and each other. I must say, this is a great way to escape feelings of anger and disgust with our sham of a government and just enjoy the moment.
And now, they're off to the vet for a grand adventure. And a bit of snipping.
Thanks to everyone who has helped. There are more kitties who need rescuing so our GFM account is still open.

So Many Kitties!
I live in a small town where there is a large feral cat population. A group of around 10 hangs out in my back yard. I keep them fed, watered and somewhat sheltered.
Over the years I have taken in 4 kittens who all now live in my tiny house with me. I've also managed to find homes for the few other babies who have survived out there. But this year has been extra productive, baby-wise.
There's a little "kitty condo" we built in the backyard, Princess lives with her three new kittens and an adopted daughter from another feral. Next door in an abandoned shed is another mom with two kittens.
So, between the two moms, there are now six healthy, happy kittens. Plus, there are probably at least five or six other mom cats in the neighborhood now.
We had to do something. We looked and looked and finally found one organization here that will help with getting them fixed and adopted. But, although is is low cost, it isn't free . Considering how many are in need, this is going to be an involved, long-term, and expensive project.
These are all beautiful little creatures who just need a bit of love in their lives, and a bit less stress. So my partner set up a go fund me here. https://www.gofundme.com/reduce-the-ferals
Anything you could do to help out would be greatly appreciated.
We now have 5 scheduled for surgery next week. Then they will all recuperate in my house while we search for homes and work on getting some more into the vet's. I have no doubt it's going to be a pretty wild few weeks here and I hope to get some really fun photos to share.
Thank you all for caring and sharing.
