I understand, you do not know what is Belo Monte. What this country is Brazil, with a hypocritical society unable to put a stop to this policy rotten. Unfortunate examples such as the construction of the hydroelectric plants of Tucuruí (PA) and Balbina (AM), the last built in the Amazon in the 1970s and 1980s, there is evidence. Displaced communities and flooded huge tracts of land and destroyed the fauna and flora of these regions. Balbina, the 146 km from Manaus, meant the flooding of the Indian reservation Atroari, fish kills, food shortages and hunger for local people. In contrast, it was the supply of electricity from the local population was not met. The disaster was such that in 1989, the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA), after analyzing the situation Uatumã River where the dam was built, completed by his biological death. In Tucuruí was not much different. Nearly ten thousand families were left without their lands, indigenous and riverine. Given this situation, in relation to the Belo Monte, one must wonder how anti-democratic as the project was being conducted, the cost-effectiveness of the work, the fate of energy to be produced and the lack of an energy policy for the country favors alternative energy.

We already know mummy-like AZ Gov. Jan Brewer gets absolutely unraveled whenever she’s near Pres. Barack Obama. But why exactly did she decline to attend tomorrow’s Governor’s Dinner at the White House?
Here are the Pocho Ocho reasons Brewer did not accept the President’s invitation:
8- They could not guarantee her a seat next to the open bar
7- She’s going to be busy looking for heads in the desert
6- Sunday night is when she soaks her skin in formaldehyde
5- Her coffin closes at sunset
4- That same evening she has an AA meeting to miss
3- She’s got a crypt to keep

$15 TRILLION is equivalent to the the federal debt of the U.S. Treasury Department. Lord James of Blackheath has spoken in the House of Lords holding evidence of three transactions of 5 Trillion each and a transaction of 750,000 metric tonnes of gold and has called for an investigation.
I think there are three possible conclusions that may come from it. I think there may have been a massive piece of money laundering committed by a major government which ought to know better and that it has effectively undermined the integrity of the British bank the Royal Bank of Scotland, in doing so. The second alternative is that a major American department has an agency that has gone rogue on it because it has been wound up and has created a structure out of which they are seeking to get at least 50 billion Euros as a payoff. And the third possibility is that this is an extraordinarily elaborate fraud which has not been carried out but which has been prepared in order to provide a threat to one government or more if they don't pay them off. So there are three possibilities and this all needs a very urgent review.

I come from a working class family from Massachusetts. Many of my family members served in the Armed Forces. My father is a Vietnam Veteran who moved to Oregon several years ago for cost of living reasons. He and my mother still had a hefty mortgage in Massachusetts after being bankrupted due to hospital bills incurred when my mother almost died years ago. My father, finally this year (after 45 ye...ars), is collecting PARTIAL disability for the PTSD he so clearly suffered from as well as agent-orange exposure as a marine infantryman.
I worked my way through college to become an RN. I have worked for years taking care of other people. I work full-time, often 12 hour days, and am barely getting by supporting my family in my small rental apartment. I would love to own a home someday. And yes, I tried that once with my well paid engineer ex-husband. We were forced to short sale when we divorced because of the "housing bubble" we were trapped in. Now, my once perfect credit is screwed.
I watch MY retirement money dwindle down to nothing. The only real savings I have because I was raised to believe that was the smart thing to do. I cannot access it because of penalties and service fees. Money I worked hard for.
I have health and dental insurance as a full time working nurse. But, when my tooth abscessed last year the dental work exceeded my benefits. Now, I still pay credit care every month for the work. In the same month, my 33 year old unemployed, part-time student friend severed his finger. He paid nothing (zero dollars) for the surgery that was required from OHP.
The system is screwed. I, too, am sick of politicians loyal to Wall Street. I, too, am sick of over-paying for food that doesn't nourish. And, insurance that doesn't insure.
I am part of the 99%.
I am a United States Marine! 9 years ago I pledged to defend America. While in Iraq 2 different times & Afghanistan once, I watched many cases of War Profiteering and watched the jobs of armed service members be stolen from them by lazy, overpaid cowards; not to mention billions of $$ in unused products products, that hard-working taxpayers paid for, get burned in original packaging. I wonder if this money was put elsewhere, would we be in so much debt as a nation or individuals. In a few months I will be jobless and more in debt myself. Can America help me help myself? He laughed at the idea, but that the question was even posed at all gives you some idea of the fury of his new album Wrecking Ball. Indeed, it is as angry a cry from the belly of a wounded America as has been heard since the dustbowl and Woody Guthrie, a thundering blow of New Jersey pig iron down on the heads of Wall Street and all who have sold his country down the swanny. Springsteen has gone to the great American canon for ammunition, borrowing from folk, civil war anthems, Irish rebel songs and gospel. The result is a howl of pain and disbelief as visceral as anything he has ever produced, that segues into a search for redemption: "Hold tight to your anger/ And don't fall to your fears … Bring on your wrecking ball."
"I have spent my life judging the distance between American reality and the American dream," Springsteen told the conference, where the album was aired for the first time. It was written, he claimed, not just out of fury but out of patriotism, a patriotism traduced. "What was done to our country was wrong and unpatriotic and un-American and nobody has been held to account," he later told the Guardian. "There is a real patriotism underneath the best of my music but it is a critical, questioning and often angry patriotism."

Springsteen, 62, says he is not afraid of how the album will be received in election-year America: "The temper has changed. And people on the streets did it. Occupy Wall Street changed the national conversation – the Tea Party had set it for a while. The first three years of Obama were under them.
"Previous to Occupy Wall Street, there was no push back at all saying this was outrageous – a basic theft that struck at the heart of what America was about, a complete disregard for the American sense of history and community … In Easy Money the guy is going out to kill and rob, just like the robbery spree that has occurred at the top of the pyramid – he's imitating the guys on Wall Street. An enormous fault line cracked the American system right open whose repercussion we are only starting to be feel.

A group of Japanese whalers has failed to win an injunction against U.S. anti-whaling activists, as a federal judge refused their request for protections from boats owned by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
The ruling was made in Seattle, where the whalers' group, the Institute for Cetacean Research, had filed suit. In addition to restraints on Sea Shepherd, the whalers were hoping the judge would impose a freeze on the activists' finances.
"U.S. federal district court judge Richard Jones did not give a reason for denying the request for a preliminary injunction. It would have prevented the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society from interfering with the Japanese whaling fleet."
