Project 2025, is a blueprint for a totalitarian country. Trump's aides have been very busy.

My friend is Jewish, a Democrat, and a lesbian. She is living in constant fear of next November.

I've known her since we were kids. She now lives in California, but we talk, email and text on a regular basis. And, to a large degree, I share her fear. The American Fascist Party, in some states, has just enough power to steal the electoral college and install Donald Trump as the president. -- Or should I say "President for Life." -- If he wins/steals it, there won't be any further elections for the foreseeable future.

My friend's grandparents escaped the Holocaust because they saw what was coming and they fled. She now knows exactly how they felt, and she is preparing to flee America. Think about that. Whoever thought that any American would ever need to prepare to "flee America?"

If, next year, Trump is declared the winner by the powers that be, my friend will leave the country of her birth as quickly as possible. (She's still considering where she and her partner will be "safe," considering the fever of antisemitism, anti LGBTQ, and anti-democracy that defines their existence in this world.)

So why am i telling you this? Because she should not be living in fear. Nor should you and I be living in fear. But let's face it. We're up against a Republican/Fascist organization that has been many decades in the making. They have a propaganda machine second to none. They have members of the judiciary in key positions, that have been appointed by those of them who hold or held elected office. They have "Think Tanks" with benevolent sounding names, that are dedicated to the creation of a fascist America and have drawn up the plans to make it happen. And they have enough influence/power in key states to turn the tide in an election year.

Pay attention, America. No one is coming to rescue us in the climax of the movie. We Democrats are it. We are the defense. We are the only thing standing between a free country and the nightmare of the deadly fascist political movement that is currently called Trumpism. Call it what you want. The title may change, but a concentration camp isn't a summer camp.

Face it. It's up to us to act against the cloud of darkness that is threatening everything we believe in and hold dear. Those who believed as we do have fought these pricks before and they won. But fascism never goes away. Now it's our turn. And it's time for us to make our own decisions to fight or flee.

(I spoke with my friend before writing this. She was okay with it, as she knew I wouldn't use her name.)

So about "deplorables" vs. "vermin"

Hillary Clinton called (many) Trump backers "deplorables." And many of them proved her right on January 6th, 2021.

Trump used the term "vermin" which, no matter how you twist it, is his description anyone who doesn't accept him as "Dear Leader."

But the specific words aside, what is the America both of them really have in mind?

Hillary sees an America moving forward and fixing the inequalities and flaws that exist.

Trump sees himself as the permanent president. When he uses words like "vermin," or phrases like "poison the national blood," make sure your passport is up to date. These are words used by Hitler.

So any MAGAT who's enough of an asshole to try to draw parallels between Hillary's "deplorables," and Trump's "vermin," is gas lighting you.

There is no comparison between someone who wants to improve America and someone who wants to own it.

Why is Senator Tuberville (R-AL) blocking about 350 military promotions? He's following orders.

Tuberville is owned by Trump. He's blocking those promotions so that "Dear Leader" can make his own appointments when he wins the 2024 presidential election. At least, that's the scenario that Trump and Tuberville have in mind.

The Senate is on the verge of stopping Tuberville's obvious sabotage of our military. But even if he's stopped, the American fascists will just pull off some other piece of fascist shit tomorrow.

And in case you're wondering who these American fascists are, they are everyone in the Republican Party who is not speaking out about the "White Nationalist Nation" that Trump is trying to establish. (On Monday, Rachel Maddow stated that the Republican Party is enabling Trump in his plot to own the presidency and America.)

Trump doesn't want to be compared to Hitler and Stalin. He wants them to be compared to him.

We've all seen Trump's admiration of dictators, from Putin, to Kim Jong Un, and others from Eastern Europe, to South America. He not only admires them. He envies them. They each hold the absolute power he craves.

Many of his cohorts know that this is what he seeks and they stand with him 100%. Most of his voters, (cult), love the way he breaks all the rules and "owns" the Dems. They don't have a clue as to how incredibly dangerous and totally deadly he is, and they will stand by him under the most insane of circumstances.

I've heard it said that Trump keeps copies of Hitler's speeches, or a copy of "Mein Kampf," near his bed. Who knows if any of this is true? But it really doesn't matter. His recent speeches have included Hitler's words and phrases such as "poisoning the blood of our country," and calling his enemies "vermin."

This is a person who should never, ever be permitted to be in a position of power. Yet, here we are, a year out from next year's election, with him as the leading Republican presidential candidate.

If by some really miserable turn of fate, Trump ends up in the White House again, it's obvious to anyone paying attention that he intends to turn America into an authoritarian state with himself as "Dear Leader, "Fuhrer," or whatever he chooses to call himself.

Trump is both an uninformed and stupid man, who probably has no idea that Hitler was responsible for about 30 million deaths on this planet, and Stalin responsible for perhaps as many as 10 million. But what if he were to learn of those numbers? Do you think he'd stand for being Number three behind Hitler and Stalin? He's a man who must always be Number One. So you do the math.

Some may think this post to be extreme, or even unhinged. If Trump were to win/steal the White House, tell me that a few years from now. But first, think about the psychopathic, uncaring, mindless man we're talking about. Do you really believe he's incapable of destroying anything and everyone that stands in the way of his whims and desires? Do you really believe he wouldn't resort to our nuclear power?

Here's what Joe Biden has that Trump will never have:

Joe, you must win next year's election. Here's some unasked for advice.

You know that if you lose, (or have it stolen from you), Trump will be America's dictator and democracy will be over.

Right now, you are running on your impressive accomplishments, and the positive statistics on the economy, employment, etc. Given how long you've been in politics, you should know that, in any political race, no one gives a rat's ass about accomplishments, statistics, or any of that. My guess is that most Americans don't have a clue as to what you've done to improve our country. It's time for you to change your tactics.

In the current polls, (that may be totally phony), you're trailing Trump. Think about that for a moment. How in the world can any decent human being be trailing this demented, cruel monster who wants to own the world? (He hasn't used those words, but how can anyone not grasp that he wants to own everything in existence?)

Here's the crux of what I'm trying to tell you. People are not moved by facts. They're driven by emotions.

Trump understands this. Do you?

He's tapping into their hatred of "The Other," their need for someone who is worse off than them, and any and all fantasies that make them think that they're part of the "Master Race". Or, as it's called today, "White, Christian Nationalism."

Joe, you're running an intellectual race. Stop it. Run a race that hits people in the gut. Run a race that explains how a Trump win will destroy our Constitution, our democracy, all of our freedoms, and our way of life. Run a race that points out his hatreds, his lies, his need to be in total control of everything, no matter who suffers or dies. Run a race that shows who and what Trump is and how putting him in the White House will destroy us all.

C'mon Joe. Listen to your advisors who are telling you to go head to head with him. At this moment you occupy the position of "The Most Powerful Man in the World." Use that power. Get people who will create ads that will expose him as a threat to humanity. Hire computer savvy people who will counter all the online, made up crap the Republicans post online. Use any facts available that Putin is trying to help him win. (Again.) -- Joe, the clock is running. The time to start winning is now. You've got the power to win in you hands. Use it!

Shakespeare has been sent into space.

Well, his picture and a speech from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" were sent into low Earth orbit with a weather balloon. This is to mark the 400th anniversary of his first volume of works. (Google Shakespeare sent into space.)

I suppose the hope is that some future generation from Earth, or some aliens from elsewhere, will find it and interpret it.

My hope is that all of his works will be launched into deep space to hopefully, be found and interpreted by some future, intelligent life form.

Shakespeare's works don't tell the full story of humanity's history and existence on this planet. But they can tell virtually everything about human nature: the good; the bad; the weirdness; and the incredible potential that our species had within our grasp.

I could choose no better messenger to tell those in the far future, who and what we were. I wish they had left his picture out and included a compact volume of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare." I don't know if anyone has ever explained human nature better than Will has. Perhaps, those in the far future can learn (if they need to) from his plays and poetry. Perhaps what they discover can improve their existence, if just a bit.

Rarely does a Shakespeare or an Einstein come along. Physicists have learned from Einstein and have run through the door of scientific knowledge he unlocked. I'm not sure we've fully embraced and learned from the gift of the knowledge of human nature that Shakespeare has given us.

Trump has told a NY judge to fuck off. Will he get away with this in a federal criminal trial?

Judge Arthur Engoron was elected to the New York City Civil Court in 2003. In 2013, he was appointed to the Supreme Court of New York. Without using the words, "Fuck off," Donald Trump told him to fuck off. But this is not a criminal trial.

Early next year, Trump will be in a federal court, on a criminal charge of trying to overthrow the government of the United States on January 6, 2021. The Judge, Tanya Chutkan, is a federal judge for the U.S. District of Columbia.

Do you think he's going to tell her to fuck off?

We all know he's mentally deranged. However, I believe there's no way in the world his conduct will be what it has been in this NY civil trial. And if he tries it, she'll throw his ass in jail for contempt of court. It's my understanding that a federal judge can impose a contempt sentence of up to six months.

So what do you think? Will he continue his PR campaign and tell her to fuck off? I don't think he has the balls to spend an hour in jail.

(on edit: He won't take the stand in the federal case, but he'll give his "testimony" to the press outside the courtroom.)

Fear Nikki Haley

Not a single primary election has been held as of this moment. But it's assumed that Trump will crush all.

Here's my opinion. Hardcore MAGA's aside, Donald Trump is the most feared and hated person in the Republican Party.

Republicans won't admit to this out loud. But what will they do in the secrecy of the voting booth?

What if Nikki Haley has a good showing, or actually wins, one of the first few primaries?

Were that to happen, it seems likely that the dam would break. A Trump/Haley race would be on and I believe she'd win.

And that would leave us with a Joe Biden vs Nikki Haley presidential race.

Few have a clue what she stands for or what she believes. Her strength would lie in the fact that she's not Donald Trump.

Has the Democratic leadership taken this scenario into consideration? Do they have a plan ready were this to happen?

I hope so. And please don't tell me that this can't happen. After all, everyone KNEW that Hillary was going to win in 2016.
