So- the 1 year old grandchild is a real climber -

keep using the crib he climbs out of, or go to a toddler bed?

Wow! This is one 9/11 remembrance I can get behind; and it wasn't planned this way:

The notion of the lights attracting birds, then releasing them is a fantastic symbol to me. It seems as if we are remembering those lost, then releasing them to go on their way.

Boy! that was dumb! For about 6 months now, I've had occasional bouts of

vertigo when I am lying down or when I tilt my head back. I'm sick of seeing doctors, and don't want to go through another round of tests, so I've adapted by being careful not to climb on ladders and sitting briefly before getting out of bed, etc. So today, I stood in the bathroom, tilted my head back to put my eye drops in, and came crashing down face forward. I may end up with a bruise on my cheek bone that will embarrass the hell out of my husband (No, really, she fell in the bathroom!), but I got away very light for doing something so stupid!

Do deer eat mint? If I plant it, will it keep them out of the garden?

Knowing of course, that mint is very aggressive.

Does MSNBC really lean left, or does it lean to reality?

Granted, Rev. Sharpton is an activist. But, how much of what the other reporters/moderators have to say sounds partisan simply because they are pointing out the untruths in Republican talking points?

Lockup on MSNBC: education or explotation?

I've never watched an entire episode, but it strikes me as very educational.

1. I think it eliminates the notion that going to prison, any prison, means getting a cushy ride at the honest tax payer's expense.

2. I think it confronts people with the faces of those in prison. I think most middle class people have no idea who ends up in prison.
