hedgehog
hedgehog's JournalPost here is someone you know has made a doctor's appointment after
signing up for Obama care.
My son rushed home from work, picked up his insurance card which had arrived in that day's mail, and went to a doctpr's appointment and found out his blood pressure is too high.
Autoimmune disease and fatigue -
Just before Christmas my S-10 was t-boned by a Ford Explorer. The impact bent the frame and pushed the cab two feet from the bed.
I was very lucky - knocked out briefly and left with some muscle spasms, sprains and bruises; all of which are healing up nicely.(God bless the engineers at Ford and GM!)
Here's the odd thing - my mouth is even drier than normal, showing that my Sjogren's is still at the party, but I feel somewhat zippier. Maybe it's a side effect of the massive adrenaline burst and/or my body actually having something to heal. I wouldn't recommend trying this solution, but thought it worth mentioning.
Cokey Roberts - you're missing the big story!
This morning on NPR, Cokey was discussing how all the Republicans are following instructions and hitting the same talking points. The real story here, who is issuing the talking points? Who pays that person?
Are there some deep pockets in the background here:
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- As lawsuits continue to be filed over last week's Elk River chemical leak, attorneys in the cases say they should be grouped together and referred to the state's mass litigation panel.
At least a dozen lawsuits have been filed in Kanawha County Circuit Court since a chemical leak from Freedom Industries on Thursday caused the loss of water service to thousands of West Virginians.

or are people kidding themselves?
Anyone follow up to see what happened to the that town in Texas that got blown away?
Young adults (20's, 30's) in my rural town are getting arrested for making
meth and trading in cocaine. If all the local factories that shut down the last 10 years were open, would they be working there instead?
I'm already thinking of next Christmas - so what's the best cookie press out there?
Not to mention - best spritz cookie recipe!
Does anyone think that closing lanes on the GWB is the only time Christie used his
office to punish someone?
"So, Mayor, that's a real nice bridge you got there. It'd be a shame should something happen to it..
The Children's Blizzard
What the settlers did not know could not know, because the Army Signal Corps chose not issue a Cold Wave warning the previous night was that a dynamic blizzard was just then sprinting across Montana and northern Colorado. A massive cold air mass had formed around Jan. 8, shifting from Medicine Hat, Alberta, to QuAppelle, Saskatchewan. Both places saw violent wind conditions and extreme temperature drops. On Jan. 11, the mass raced full bore across the United States, covering more than 780 miles in 17 hours.

In many areas, notably parts of Texas, high school football is a religion.
Therefore, shouldn't high school football be banned as a state sponsored religion?
