That's the problem with his holier-than-thou attitude.

Bernie Sanders Seems to Have Forgotten a Few of His Votes

Bernie Sanders has been increasingly direct in his attacks against Hillary Clinton's past positions. But there's only one problem with his holier-than- thou narrative: Sanders' own voting record shows he's often voted for similar measures.

Sanders and his supporters seem to consider political consistency as the main measure of a politician's character. "You can be a moderate. You can be a progressive. But you cannot be a moderate and a progressive," Bernie subtweeted Clinton last month. But Sanders has been in the House or Senate for more than 25 years, and during all that time, any politician's voting record is bound to have some inconsistencies. Sanders is no exception. At times he's voted in favor of bills on national security, criminal justice, and immigration that he says he now opposes, attacking Clinton for casting the same votes that he did.

<snip>
Then there is Sanders' criticism of Clinton on immigration. During a pre-Nevada TV town hall, Sanders threw shade at Clinton on Twitter for saying she'd seek to end the 3-year and 10-year bans on allowing immigrants who overstayed their visa to return to the country.

The only problem? Sanders voted for the measure. It was part of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 that passed as part of the defense appropriations bill that year.

Biden apologizes to Mexico for the GOP rhetoric

Biden in Mexico: 'I almost feel obliged to apologize' for GOP rhetoric

(CNN)Speaking in Mexico City, Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday came close to offering an apology for comments made by Republicans about Mexico and Mexican immigrants on the campaign trail.

"I almost feel obliged to apologize for some of what my political colleagues said," Biden said alongside Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. "It's a heated campaign season and I just want you to know, Mr. President, that the most heated rhetoric you've heard from competitors for the nomination for president is not who we are as the American people. It is not the view that is the view of the majority of the American people. It's the exact opposite. It's the opposite view."

In Open Letter On Nutjob Website, Pat Boone Suspends His ‘Campaign’ For Presidency

The general election is coming down to the wire with only a handful of candidates left on both sides of the ticket. With Jeb! Bush recently suspends his campaign, many felt this was the last of the dropouts in the presidential race. In a stunning announcement, however, legendary crooner Pat Boone also decided to drop out of the running. What makes this even more legendary is no one knew he was even campaigning for president.

Passengers applauded when a family was forced off a plane after their son had an allergic reaction

How sick are people?

_____________
After a family trip to Washington, 7-year-old Giovanni boarded an Allegiant Air flight home with his mother Christina Fabian, and dad, George Alvarado.

But instead of heading back to Arizona, the family was forced to get off the plane after Giovanni had an allergic reaction and delayed takeoff, King 5 News reports. To add insult to injury: other passengers clapped as the family headed off the plane.

"He started to get hives, so we informed the flight attendant who informed us that there's dogs on every flight and just smirked, which minimized his experience for me," Fabian said. "They helped us off the plane, but as we gathered our stuff the people toward the back of the plane clapped."

Giovanni's father has terminal cancer, so the purpose of the trip was to spend some quality time together.

What Causes Poor Uneducated White People To Vote Republican?

According to a recent article by Quiet Mike, “Republicans like to say they are all about responsibility.” Then they turn around and support things like the SCOTUS decision in favor of Hobby Lobby, which takes personal responsibility away from citizens and places it in the hands of the corporation.

Their politicians lied to engage our country in a war justified by a search for nonexistent weapons of mass destruction. Now they are trying to blame the entire Iraq war on President Obama.

The Republicans advocate cutting food stamps, unemployment, education, and health care – all while cutting taxes for the wealthy. The GOP has a long history of demonizing poor people. The relatively new Tea Party crowd and the Libertarians have the reigning attitude of “go fend for yourself” when it comes to providing any type of assistance to the poor.

Republicans consistently garner a large chunk of their votes from poor, white, uneducated voters. Why? What causes poor uneducated white people to vote Republican?

Some of it may be attributed to the many gerrymandered districts. Some is due to the active voter suppression tactics the GOP has been employing not only in the present but historically as well. But those are not the only reasons for this trend.

Paul Weyrich has been labeled as one of the founding fathers of the modern conservative movement. Weyrich often proclaims that he doesn’t want people to vote. It is his contention that the fewer people who vote, the better the GOP chances are of winning elections. In this writer’s view, some of this desire to limit voting is due to racism.

Latino Leaders Slam Sanders

As Nevada vote approaches, an old immigration fight takes center stage.

With just two days left before the Nevada Democratic caucuses, high-profile Latino leaders are stepping up their support of Hillary Clinton—and taking swings at Bernie Sanders.

On a call with reporters Thursday organized by the Clinton campaign, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.), Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro, and civil rights organizer Dolores Huerta slammed Sanders' record on immigration, particularly his vote against the failed 2007 immigration reform bill.

"He really set us back, you might say, a decade by not supporting us on the immigration bill in 2007," said Huerta, a who led the United Farm Workers alongside Cesar Chavez in the 1960s. "His reputation as being a super liberal, many people followed his guide on that. That was just a devastating blow for all of us who were fighting for immigration reform and for immigrants' rights."
