The dentist has a kill list of 43 different animals
Palmer on Thursday wrote to to his patients to say he he was sorry for killing the beast, but described hunting as his passion.
I dont often talk about hunting with my patients because it can be a divisive and emotionally charged topic, he wrote. I understand and respect that not everyone shares the same views on hunting.
Repeating his claim made in an earlier statement, Palmer said he had no idea the lion he killed was a known local favourite and said he would assist the Zimbabwean authorities.
The dentist has a kill list of 43 different animals including a polar bear, a mountain lion, an elephant and an African lion he killed in 2005, according to records obtained by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

New York Times: "We Are Koch"
Each of the Koch brothers saw his investments grow by a staggering $6 billion last year, which, if you do the math, means that they each made about $3 million per hour last year, based on a 40-hour workweek.
In other words, as millions of Americans struggle to survive each and every day, the wealthiest Americans, the oligarchs, are accumulating vast sums of wealth, without anyone saying a word, or raising a finger.
http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/15319-that-giant-sucking-soundits-the-oligarchs
yet [bTthe NYT is gushingly trying to rehabilitate these oligarchs:
even a sweet picture:
......
After two elections in which Democrats and liberals sought to cast them as the secretive, benighted face of the Republican Party, the Kochs are seeking to remake public perceptions of their family, their business and their politics, unsettling a corporate culture deeply allergic to the spotlight. Even as their donor network prepares to spend extravagantly to defeat Democrats during the 2016 campaign, the Kochs have made cause with prominent liberals to change federal sentencing rules, which disproportionately affect African-Americans, while a Koch-backed nonprofit, the Libre Initiative, offers driving lessons and tax preparation services to Latinos.
...............
Critics see an effort to soften the image of a political and philanthropic empire that has budgeted $889 million for the 2016 election cycle, including tens of millions to build a grass-roots activist network, and of a family business that is a major lobbying force in Washington and has faced numerous threats of a consumer boycott.

“It’s almost like you don’t want to be too close,” campaign adviser says, “in case he self-combusts"
For the campaigns that do make prime time, theres another wild card: Trump.
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/opinion/editorial-cartoons/ww4g7y/picture29591707/alternates/LANDSCAPE_400/SIERS073115
Fox told campaigns this week that the candidates will be lined up onstage according to their poll numbers, with the leader in the center and the others to his left and right. That means if current numbers hold, Trump will be in the center flanked by Jeb Bush and Scott Walker. Theres a lot of nervousness about where hes going to be placed and who will be next to him, one adviser said. In any normal debate, candidates would obviously fight to be in the middle, but being center stage next to Trump could be as much of a liability as an advantage. Who knows what he might do? Its almost like you dont want to be too close, one campaign adviser says, in case he self-combusts.

DEVASTATING: The Videos That Are Putting Race and Policing Into Sharp Relief
The Videos That Are Putting Raceand Policing Into Sharp Relief
By DAMIEN CAVE and ROCHELLE OLIVER JULY 30, 2015
Raw video has thoroughly shaken American policing. Grainy images of questionable police behavior, spread through social media, have led to nationwide protests, federal investigations and changes in policy and attitudes on race.
A lot of white people are truly shocked by what these videos depict; I know very few African-Americans who are surprised, said Paul D. Butler, a law professor at Georgetown University and a former prosecutor. The videos are smoking-gun evidence, he added, both literally because they are very graphic, which generates outrage, and figuratively, because people believe their own eyes.
These videos include graphic scenes of violence.

In one simple quote, Sister Joan Chittister, O.S.B. sums up the hypocrisy in the 'pro-life' movement:
