"What if I wake up someday and I am a pedophile"
We all know that these types of attractions feel sick to us. But to some they are natural. Why? Well pedophilia is a mental illness, (something I did not know or didn't consider) and people are born with mental illnesses.
And then this article has a bold quote, "Nobody chooses to be a pedophile"
We all know how many different types of groups of people that quote applies to.
Now I have found much more information from an article on the Daily Beast.
There is much evidence now to show that pedophiles are born with certain abnormalities in their brains. They also believe that prevention would probably work but since in the 1990's people in the psychiatric field are obligated to report if a person shares that they have these types of urges. So most of the men, (90% of all molesters) studied are incarcerated or have been.
Also the part where the molester is considered to be "grooming" the child is not as much of a calculated set of actions as it is something that that is inherent in the workings of their brains. When they were asked what age they felt when they were in the act of molestation most of them said they felt the same age as the child. It makes you think of the man hanging around the playground as interested in the children as much as playing with the equipment.

Personally as far as everything other than someone acting on an impulse I think that I am going to practice more compassion for the person behind the pedophile. Nobody is born a monster.

I have been trying to about 1.5 years to lose weight and zero and I think it is a med.
I even joined a gym about 3 weeks ago and have a trainer once a week. I do about 20 minutes on the bicycle and then weight train on the machines. I end up sweating all over. I have been going 3-4 times/week
And I have lost ZERO pounds. I have cut down on my eating and gone for things like no fat yogurt. I have had my times with cake but I did that before the exercises.
So I started going through my medicines and I found on called Mirapex , (Pramipexole) that I take for restless legs and that one I have been on for about 2 years. It does say weight gain can be a side affect.
I'm going to stop it and find something I can take if I have a bad attack of that hellish symptom.
My question is: Has anyone ever taken this and gained weight?
Or is there a list somewhere that tells you what drugs do not make you gain weight?

The problem as I see it is tax breaks to the top .1% and 1% and maybe the top 10%. The top .1% owns 90% of this country's wealth! And you can't tell me that billionaires are going to hurt with an extra 1% on their taxes, (most have their money in funds that they do not have to pay taxes on. Mitt Romney only paid 15% on all his money in the year that he ran for president.)
If the 615 billionaires, (from Google), were taxes just an amount to equal 1 billion (1% or .01% I can't get the number from the calculator) the amount going to the government would be 615,000,000 million.
SNAP - Food Stamps benefits cost the government about 74 billion. And that leaves 541 billion left for the government to spend on roads, education, and a host of other things that we now do not have the money to spend on.
AND WHAT IS SO UNFAIR ABOUT THAT IS, Walmart pays its employees, (along with most of the other box stores) about $8/hour. They are the working poor and they have to get food stamps to eat!
Does anyone here remember a video of a man at a pulpit
saying things that people did that were very bigoted and you thought he was talking about one group of people and in the end he reveilles that he is speaking of another minority group.
It was shocking to realize that your beliefs were the same just against a new group.
