I'm experimenting with Kale Chips and a dehydrator.

I am fascinated so far with Kale Chips. This happened after I was introduced to them at a pot luck event where many people brought in recipes close to the bottom of the food chain.

I bought my dehydrator for Christmas and so far, I've made Kale chips twice. I would have taken a picture of the first batch, but my husband and I devoured them over a few days.

Has anyone else done this? I really am impressed, though I'm not too sure that I've saved much electricity with the dehydrator operation to do this. It takes a good 4 to 5 hours to get them nice and crispy. The oven proved too hot for what my goals are with the dehydrator.

Based on what you pay for these chips if you can find them at the grocery store, I know it's far less expensive to my own kale chips.

I'm sure I'll graduate to other veggies, but I'm loving it so far.

Jamie Dimon gets a fucking RAISE

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is getting a 74 percent pay raise despite the bank paying out about $20 billion last year to settle several legal and regulatory issues, the company announced on Friday.
His total pay package for 2013, approved by the bank’s board of directors, is $20 million.

On edit: This is what a tapeworm does when the banking industry never gets back to that regulation you thought it finally had after the great depression:

My rip off Theme Song… for Il Grande Bullo of New Jersey

(sung to the tune of Lyrics to Sopranos Theme Song)…

You woke up this morning
Got yourself a big story,
Mama always said you'd be
Most likely to seek Glory.

She said: You're one in a million
You've got to burn to shine,
But you were born to be Republican,
In a blue state you wanted "all mine".

You woke up this morning
All the nation's love has gone,
Your Papa never told you
About covering up who did what and what's right and wrong.

But you're looking pretty sad, baby,
I believe you're feeling heat,(shame about it),
Born to be Republican
And the lies, they had to repeat.

You woke up this morning
The world turned upside down,
Thing's ain't been the same
Since that Blue State's gonna shake you down.

But you're a dime a dozen for the GOP
You've lost that shotgun shine.
Born under a bad sign,
And your lies continue to unwind.

When you woke up this morning,
When you woke up this morning,
When you woke up this morning,
You got yourself a hat… handed to you…
Just like that.

There MUST be a law against donning bumper stickers so offensive, no, I don't have pix!

I was too sick as a passenger this morning, riding along with my husband, who was taking me to the Med Express for this damned virus. I looked at it and said to my husband, "what a complete jaggoff". Were I more sharp, I would have grabbed a pen to write down the license plate number and complained… but to whom?

By the way, I couldn't tell if this was male or female in the driver's set, but they basically swerved in and out - anxious to get over to the left hand turn lane, then run the yellow to red arrow in their black SUV LandRover.

Back window decals -
Upper left - NRA Sticker (okay, I can deal with that)
Upper Right & middle left, bumper sticker was some narrative too small to entirely read basically that we've had the first "woman" president in office… Then, picture of Obama holding his head up in a less than masculine pose… WTF?
Lower Left - The clearly defined word taking up most of bumper sticker (this is what floored me) "C "Obama icon" for the letter "O" C K S U C K E R.

Okay, so should I see this shit again, is there a recourse?

Just saw, The Wolf of Wall Street

It was great, IMO… Martin Scorsese directs. I knew what I would probably be in for, because it's based on the book written by it's main character, Jordan Belfort. Yeah… it has a lot of foul language… someone estimated that the word, "fuck" occurred 500 times. And, probably the closest to actual coitus in a scene I've ever seen in a non-porn movie.

I think this is the exact way the movie must be told. And if DiCaprio doesn't get an Oscar for this, then I don't know who could.

The story of Wall Street, outside of any Gorden Gecco conception, should be seen this way. Otherwise, how can you understand what has gone on and continues to go on.

The irony came in my realization as the movie wrapped and credits rolled in knowing my admission to this very long movie (even matinee price) helped Jordan Belfort, after seeing how much he fucked other people figuratively.

Still… I give it a
