One of my friends is a Director at a large IT company. He has been there 32 years and is at director's level yesterday he had to interview to keep his job. His work record is impeccable and his profits are excellent.
Luckily, for me i am also at a high tech company and I am valued. I started when we very small and we have become fairly large. I bring in revenue which is the key for employment as you age. Too high up and they are looking to kill you.
