My tv has been off, purposely, all day. I find DU far more informative. Anyway, my

question is who/what channel do we watch tonight? I like MSNBC depending on who will be on the panel. This is where I miss Keith. Chris is fine as long as he's taken his insulin, hopefully Joey the Scar will not be on. CNN will be twisting and turning results to try and and find a repub victory. MSNBC?? I do hope Martin will be on the panel along with Rachel and Lawrence. If it gets to be yelling, etc. I'm outta there too.

Ellen DeGeneres to Appear with Obama for LGBT Reelection Fundraiser

Ellen DeGeneres will appear at a Los Angeles fundraiser for President Obama on Wednesday, an event aimed at the gay and lesbian community, sources say.

She'll be joined by the singer Pink, who will be providing entertainment at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel event, with tickets starting at $1,250 per person. Obama's reelection campaign also has scheduled a $40,000-per-person dinner at the home of Ryan Murphy, co-creator of "Glee." Sources say that both events are selling well and could sell out.

On her daytime show, DeGeneres praised Obama after his announcement earlier this month that he supports same-sex marriage. "There have been moments in history when someone has the courage to stand up for what they believe in, and that one action changes everything," DeGeneres said. "I hope this is one of those times."

In the days following the announcement, organizers of the Los Angeles gala said that they saw an uptick in sales of tickets. They also switched to a larger venue, although those plans were in the works before Obama's interview with ABC News' Robin Roberts.

Alongside Obama, George W. Bush steals the WH show

The Palm Beach Post headline, definitely not mine. Quite a long article...http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/nation/alongside-obama-george-w-bush-steals-the-wh-2383664.html

WASHINGTON — It's Barack Obama's house now, but his predecessor and political foil, George W. Bush, stole the show at the White House on Thursday with his wisecracks and grin.

"Thank you so much for inviting our rowdy friends to my hanging," the former president said, referring to members of his family and former staff, invited back to the executive mansion for the unveiling of his and Laura Bush's official portraits. "Behave yourselves," he jokingly admonished his crowd.

Bush told the current president he was pleased to know "that when you are wandering these halls as you wrestle with tough decisions, you will now be able to gaze at this portrait and ask, 'What would George do?'"

Free from the stress of the presidency and after three years spent largely out of the spotlight, a relaxed and jovial Bush came back with his father, former President George H.W. Bush, for a rare gathering of three commanders in chief. Former first lady Barbara Bush was there, too, as were George W. and Laura's daughters, Jenna and Barbara.
