Then, there is the disappointment among the ranks of the snubbed. NBC, for instance, has nobody represented. Nor does Fox News. A gossipy New York Times article revealed late Friday that Fox News had lobbied intensely for a slot, but had been snubbed -- and that the Romney camp had threatened to boycott the debates if anybody from MSNBC was chosen.
However, nobody appears to have been more infuriated than PBS' Gwen Ifill. According to the Times, she was shocked and "livid" to find that, for the first time in eight years, she had been left off the list of moderators -- especially since PBS colleague Lehrer had insisted that his moderating days were completely over. She admitted to the paper, "I was indeed disappointed." (Ifill can take comfort that she is making history this election cycle by being part of the first-ever all-female team to anchor presidential convention coverage.)
Oh, and of course, there's Rush Limbaugh, who trashed all four moderators as "far left" or "far far left" Democrats.

Donald Trump said women may like President Barack Obama because they "don't know him" and "don't get what's going on."
“Maybe [women] don’t know him,” Trump said during a phone interview on Wednesday's "On The Record" with Greta van Susteren. “Maybe they don’t get what is going on. And I still think that this is not going to be a popularity contest, it's going to be a contest based on jobs."
Trump criticized Obama as "somebody that will say some very nasty things" and said the president and Vice President Joe Biden are running "a very vicious campaign against Mitt Romney and the Republicans."
“[Obama] is a person that is not the nice person that some people think," Trump said. "And his popularity rating -- while high -- I think if people knew the facts, the rating would actually be extremely low."

MSNBC's Toure: Romney Engaging In 'Ni--erization' Of Obama

He pointed to a speech Romney gave attacking what he called Obama's "wild" accusations against him. "This is what an angry and desperate presidency looks like," he said. "Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago." Touré reacted strongly to this.
"That really bothered me," he said. "You notice he says 'anger' twice. He's really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama. The otherization, he's not like us. I know it's a heavy thing to say. I don't say it lightly. But this is ni--erization. You are not one of us, and that you are like the scary black man who we've been trained to fear."
S.E. Cupp, the conservative on the panel, fired back angrily. She called Touré "dishonest" for saying that Joe Biden's "chains" comments were "divisive" but that Romney was using racial code. "That is so irresponsible, Touré!" she said.
The Romney campaign appeared to have noticed Touré's comments. A spokesperson told Breitbart News, "We are discussing this matter with network executives at MSNBC."

Phil Griffin Talks MSNBC Convention Coverage, Says CNN Is 'Desperate'

For instance, MSNBC Phil Griffin wasn't about to let a recent CNN release promising that his rival would be the only "unbiased" network covering the conventions slip by him. “When you’re desperate, you start calling different things out," he told The Huffington Post on Thursday.
Griffin also had words for Sam Feist, CNN's Washington bureau chief, who described his network as "the only cable news channel that hasn't a picked side in this election."
“Not every voter wants to be told how to vote," Feist recently told The Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone. "CNN will give viewers and voters an opportunity to hear both sides."
Griffin dismissed those comments, saying that he would let Feist's "words speak for themselves." He touted MSNBC’s plans for convention coverage, eagerly anticipating the official start of the election season.

HHS Secretary in WPB slams as “nonsense” claims of $700B in Medicare cuts
WEST PALM BEACH —
Claims that the Affordable Care Act is cutting more than $700 billion in Medicare benefits are “just nonsense,” U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said today as protestors waved signs outside.
“I do think that is one of the constant untruths that is part of the dialogue,” Sebelius said in a morning visit to talk to seniors about the federal health care law in West Palm Beach. “There have been no benefit cuts. It’s slowing down the rate of increase.”
Outside, handwritten placards criticized $700 billion in Medicare cuts under Obamacare and asserted “Romney and Ryan Right 4 Medicare.”
“I want to stop Obamacare,” said one of the protesters, Elaine Fandino of Greenacres. GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s Florida communications director stood next to her.

Of course they are right-leaning but the questions were inclusive and pretty interesting. The gist of the poll from the middle on out was reponse to whatshisface and how Ryan will impact Romney. I am actually registered as an Independent and am looking forward to results..

Justin Lamar Sternad, a Democratic primary candidate for Congress in Florida, gave a colorful response Tuesday to nagging allegations that his primary campaign has been orchestrated by Republican operatives.
"Kiss my 'lily-white' ass," Sternad emailed the Miami Herald, replying to a question about how he could afford numerous campaign mailers despite fundraising figures suggesting he spent almost all of his cash covering a filing fee for the 26th congressional district race.
The Herald reports that Sternad's campaign has raised a grand total of $11,262. With $10,440 going toward the filing fee, the campaign presumably has only $822 to fund its operation.
Despite these diminished totals, Sternad has sent at least six mailers to constituents in his district. The campaign literature, organized by a firm earlier employed by Rep. David Rivera, the Republican in the race, has been criticized as racially charged and misleading.

Naming Paul Ryan as his running mate has been a plus for Mitt Romney‘s fundraising in Florida and elsewhere, the Romney camp says.
In the first 72 hours after Romney announced the House Budget Chairman as his VP choice, the Romney campaign says it logged $7.4 million in online contributions.
Florida was the biggest supplier of post-Ryan cash, the Romney campaign says, with more than 8,000 Sunshine State contributors combining to give more than $620,000.
Ryan is expected to make his Florida debut somewhere in the central part of the state this weekend. Specifics have not yet been announced.

Greg Kouri, PayPal co-founder, dies at 51 in New York City

Greg Kouri, who co-founded the e-commerce payment service PayPal, died unexpectedly in New York City on Saturday. He was 51, a native of Canada, and lived in Miami Beach.
Jack Abdo, a prominent South Florida developer and a paternal cousin, said that Kouri succumbed to a heart attack shortly after arriving at a hospital emergency room.
Abdo said that Kouri and his wife, Jean Marie, have two children.
“He was a founding guy in Silicon Valley,’’ Abdo said, and after making a fortune with PayPal, became a venture capitalist for technology companies.
Services will be held in Montreal on Friday.
