A simple question --

What if the media people in Cleveland would ask this one question of Trump supporters:

“What part of Donald Trump’s life story convinces you that he has YOUR best interest in mind?”

It just cannot be answered with the handy but hollow “He says what’s on his mind.”

Just a brief thought on the "media"...

Once Donald Trump goes down in a spectacular, trouncing loss the media will have no focus for the slavering obsession that has become their most reliable trademark. If we’re lucky, the present blighted media incarnation will wither and die along with the failed candidacy it helped to create, leaving room for the potential emergence of a media that owns a measure of commitment to the idea of journalistic integrity. If we are VERY lucky. If.

Cleveland is totally the wrong venue for the Republican convention.

After listening to the speeches, the better setting would have been 1690s Salem.

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions

Why not? They've tokened just about every other group, only fair to have an unrepentant supremacist on stage, yeah?

But of course . . .

Heard a delegate at the RNC being interviewed, asked about the walkout, opined that the convention had clearly been infiltrated by Hillary operatives. Said it with a straight face, of course.

Twilight Zone?

Is it just me, or is it really weird to see the Republican convention treat its members the way Republicans routinely treat Democrats in congress?

Maybe they just don't want all that practice to go to waste . . .
